You guys make poor SP out for a bad guy, but he has good intentions. He's just doing what Reed would want guys, and in the end it's REED's forum. Some of you are acting like whiny kids right now, jesus.

It's not skills that are ever in question here, that's just silly. The problem is VGBA does not want moderation, at all. If we (Cho and I) don't do anything, we get complaints. If we do moderate the forum as Reed wanted, we get complaints. It usually begins with users jumping on the hate bandwagon. That's what I was referring to when I replied to him. There is no way a moderator would ever be accepted on here because the community here is never happy.

This community just doesn't like change that's all. We just want mods to get rid of bots and spammers. Don't get me wrong, I see where you are coming from. You do what reed wants you to. I think that's a good point. In general, people on VGBA just want what is absolutely necessary from moderators. Their powers to
sticky threads, close certain threads, and ban spammers is all that is needed. These are entrusted onto someone who won't abuse them or let the forums burn, like you and stevencho. If I were to compare it to real life, instead of being a type of authority or fearful force, moderators would be more like trustworthy citizens who are representatives of the entire community to do what the majority wants.

I like you Sp, as a person as a mod, and while I don't always agree with your choices, especially this one, I think you get the job done. But making comments like these:

People bitch about moderation at every. Single. Forum. It's not something VGBA exclusive.
Plus complaining about the community you are a moderator of is not exactly the best way of handling the situation.

Like I said, I like you SP, but this entire situation could have been handled a lot better; one everyone's parts mind you.
