The Moderation Complaint Thread

I admit we are just human, so there may be times when a moderator makes an unfair decision. But in order to not create disruptions in the other threads, if you have a complaint about an action taken by a moderator please post it here.

Please quote and explain the action taken by a moderator that you have a complaint with and explain why the decision was unfair.

We will do our best to take a second look at the decision we made and we will either revert the moderation if we deem the complaint acceptable or we will explain why the moderation was necessary.

Yeah, we are definitely still learning and like Stevencho said, anyone can make a mistake.

If you have a problem with other users, threads, or posts, then be sure to send us a PM and it will be taken care of. That, and the Report feature is very useful for us as well, so be sure to use that whenever you see the need.

I don't see what's so bad about it if you don't mean it in a derogatory sense. Many people at school, my school at least, use that word a lot, not in a derogatory sense, but as a joke.

A lot of other very derogatory terms come out of kid's mouths too.
I can say personally that I get offended by it and I'm not even gay.

The difference is that it is commonly associated with being demeaning to a certain group of people. There are many other words you can use as playful banter that people won't find overly offensive.

I was referring specifically to the kids at your school. But really, it's irrelevant. As Pan said, these rules were always in place. There just weren't any moderators to remind people of them.

Sometimes I don't see how people can really get offended easily. If there's something that could be offensive I usually ignore it or just don't think into it. Ex. I've been called fat a lot back when I was fat, even by some of my close friends still even though I'm not anymore. Sure at first it annoyed me but then I learned that it really doesn't matter. I get called cracker by my black friends sometimes, wigger by my white friends that don't listen to rap music like I do. I just don't care about it anymore. I don't get offended.

I don't really care about if it's allowed or not anyway because I don't use it.

I honestly don't care (seeing how I use it jokingly), I just don't see why anyone is offended by it.
