Yep, today marks the tenth year since the game's original release in japan. It's an awesome series and I hope to see many more in the future!

Also, dear god has it seriously been that long?

Those big eyes scare me.
By the time III comes around, Haley Joel Osment'll be a pensioner and that'll make for an odd sounding Sora.
It is indeed a precious gift to understand the forces that guide oneself.
It's hilarious that Kingdom Hearts fans have been talking about Kingdom Hearts III for about 6 years now, and we still haven't seen it. At the most that game is only an idea on a sheet of paper.
Now, I'm not ungrateful of what we have gotten, but at this point it's getting a bit ridiculous, if the next game after Dream Drop isn't III, then I quit.
I don't mind the spin-offs, really, or at least, I wouldn't. They each have a good story in itself, I just wish they weren't so schizophrenic on which platforms they'll be available for. I was under the impression it started off on the PS2, then had a spin-off on the Gameboy Advance was it? Then a sequel on the PS2.
Recap: You need two different platforms to play three games, not so bad so far.
Next was a mobile phone gam...No, sorry, a remake of the Gameboy one for the PS2 and then the mobile phone game. Then the DS got a taste of the action, which was followed by a PSP game. Then yet another remake, this time for the mobile game, and this was for the DS. Finally we end the madness with Dream Drop Distance, on the 3DS.
Recap 2: That's six separate platforms for nine games. Yeesh.
I presume KHIII will be available for PS3, 360 and the Wii U. So, final recap: To play all the canon games (only including the remakes here), you will need at least one PS2, one DS, one PSP, one 3DS and one PS3/360/WiiU. That's too much for me to care to buy really. Maybe a HD collection on the PS3?

Why we haven't got an HD collection by now is beyond me. To a newcomer to the series, they don't want to be four different platforms to understand the story.
Ah, I never knew about the backwards compatibility. Still, my point stands, it's a schizophrenic franchise. A HD Collection would be very nice.
On an unrelatd note, I went back to II last night, I was just before the Sephiroth fight on the hardest difficulty. After a year of not playing it, yeesh, whatafight!

The whole Kingdom Hearts on handhelds only situation is equally absurd as the entire Dissidia series being on a single handheld only.
If they were to make an HD Collection I would want it to include: Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, and Birth by Sleep.
You forgot Chain of Memories.
I'm not a big fan either, I would admit the 3D version is better, but I hate trying to fight anything with cards in mind. Tedious gameplay, meet Kingdom Hearts.
It's very hard to like this series after what has been done within the last 10 years, Tetsuya, troll harder.
I remember seeing some Kingdom Hearts cosplayers walking around in the parking lot of the mall in my town and shouting at them. I was shouting, "WHERE'S GOOFY AND DONALD?!?"
I've only played the first and second games... I beat the second game in three days and with 46+ hours of gameplay. *cough*
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate | Name: Yami G | HR: 2+
I just bought a 3DS so I would be more than happy to play this, not sure if it's worth buying yet though.
