And the entire Suicide mission of ME2 remains one of my favorite parts of any game. The whole thing feels really epic and intense.

One of the most recent worst endings I had to experience:

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

Very few endings, be it gaming or otherwise, have hit me on an emotional level the way Crisis Core did. It took me by surprise, despite the fact that I'd known it was coming anyway. Square executed it and the scenes leading up to it perfectly.

I'm not sure I would call it my all-time favorite ending, but it's certainly high on the list. As for the ending I most disliked, I'll have to think about it a bit longer.

I almost cried at the end of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.

Metal Gear Solid 4 was easily my favorite ending ever:



I'd posts the other 3 parts (just goes to show how long the ending is), but the thumbnails would spoil it for anyone who might want to get into MGS.

Oh, and my honorable mentions go to MGS3 and MGS: Peace Walker. Both had amazing endings.

Indeed. MGS4's ending was pretty incredible, as was MGS3's.
