I think it might be Sony's version of the Wii Wheel.

Dualshock isn't going anywhere, it's been around literally unchanged since the PS1, and has only gotten better with recharging and better rumble technology. If anything, this will only be an addition to their Move lineup of peripherals.

Either that or they'll bring back the boomerang-shaped controller from the PS3's original unveiling.

The boomerang controller was interesting, that's for sure. I'd say it would have worked with more design improvements, but even if it gets changed I'm sure a third party will be releasing a controller that is comparable to the Dualshock design. It will most likely be available either way.

I was joking, actually. Interesting is a kind way of putting it, but I found the boomerang design utterly ridiculous. I was relieved when Sony returned to the traditional Dualshock appearance.

As long as it's not a prototype for the PS4 I'm okay with it. But I'll stick to the dualshock, as long as they remove those annoying rubber pads that hold the thumbsticks in place and do something like the 360 controller that doesn't have the rubber addition, therefore not allowing the thumbstick to get stuck. I remember playing UC3, leaving the game for a few seconds with Nate standing on a platform and coming back to find him hanging from the ledge because the rubber part of the thumbstick kept it stuck in place and he moved on his own.

Also, anyone remember the original xbox controller? Damn thing was a beast.
    Signatures are lame.
Hence why I don't have one.
    Because I'm awesome.

If Sony were to make one change to the Dualshock in the transition to the PS4, I'd like for them to return to the PS2's trigger system. Why they didn't just use the same triggers for L2/R2 that they did with L1/R1 is beyond me.

    Indeed.

It's got to be the most uncomfortable controller ever made. It seems like you would have to tilt your hands in the most awkward position, really would have been awful.

The original Xbox controller was huge, my goodness that was a large chunk of plastic. Over time they did eventually slim down some into a design similar to the 360 controller, but yeah I still have 4 or 5 of them. It just amazes me how I was able to grasp such a thing when I was younger.

I have never had the pleasure of the huge controller, as I got my Xbox when the shipped the S-Model controller. It looks terrible though. Although even the Slim one was kinda chunky compared to the 360 one.

Yeah, you can definitely tell a difference in the older version and the S model, which was more comparable to the standard 360 controller.

Playfire allows you to add The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition on PS3 to your wishlist....could it be...?

I wouldn't go to Playfire for possible information on future releases. It's probably just a mistake.

Interested in Diablo III? Well this weekend everybody with a Battle.net account can download and play the open beta.

EDIT: Holy shit, it's quite large: 3.65 GB.

Mine doesn't crash, but it tells me I can't play because my Battle.net account doesn't have a Diablo III license despite the fact that it's a FRAPPING OPEN BETA.

What a waste of bandwith. >_<
