No, I don't really care. I also don't hate a particular gaming character. The usage of the word in this context is odd. I think I've hated some people I've met because they're assholes, or I've hated a certain food because it tastes terrible, but hating a game is reaching. It's a game character that I don't have to interact with, dislike would be a better word.

I can understand this logic, although I don't see the fallacy in hating a fictional character if he/she makes no effort in gaining my empathy or respect during my time with their respective games. You could take it as Drake's actions and personality being something I'd hate, or at least very severely dislike, reflected on an actual person.
