^ Oh yeah, that was a pretty badass thread. Dubstep wasn't that bad but it wasn't the best choice.
I remember when I saw NFS: Hot Pursuit trailer I was so impressed I probably watched it 5 times in a row. Such a great trailer (game was also fun as well):
Does everything use dubstep now?
So the protagonist of the first game is now the villain in the second? Well, regardless, that trailer was really well done. I wonder if the game can live up to that kind of quality.
I doubt the game can live up to that trailer (even if Alex Mercer doesn't looks even close, the well suited music and emotion in the trailer was awesome) I think it's going to be fun to destroy things with weapons/tendrils and fly around like some sort of super hero in an open environment, but it's going to get a bit repetive after a while. just an opinion, I'll really have to touch the game before I judge, really. Story wise I can't say nothing about it (as I didn't even played the first) but infected/zombies always get my attention, although it's milked to the bone.
Yeah, in the first game, the protagonist was Alex Mercer, a government experiment gone wrong (thus the black tendrils and spikes). Never played the original, but from what I can tell he's kind of an anti-hero. Kills lots and lots of innocent people.
In the sequel, you play as this guy named Heller. Apparently his family was murdered by Mercer and Heller goes under an operation to be transformed into the same kind of monster as Mercer and goes on a hunt to find him and take revenge.
