Yeah it's a beast of a topic to last that long. I honestly knew that this day would come, every year or so i visit VGBA i was shocked to see it was still going.

This would be a good decision, i honestly think that this thread should be renamed to "What's Going On In Your Life?" and maybe have a post cool-down so people don't post too often to it. There's plenty of ways to fix the issue of activity i just doubt Reed will listen to me or the others.

I couldn't agree more. I probably wouldn't visit VGBA much if this thread wasn't here. I look forward to coming home and reading through the pages that I missed.

I think it is the time to come in, and join the discussion. Some argue that this thread needs to go, as it will breathe new life into other threads of discussion. Others argue that this is the epitome of the VGBA site, and that members will begin to lose interest in the site. Some have argued that a separate thread is not required for a discussion of only five or six posts, and I agree with this, as it creates unnecessary traffic.

This thread is one of the few threads I actually care about, as I can learn about the daily lives of my fellow members, read a discussion or two between members, which helps me form an opinion on an issue. I think this thread needs to stay, but if members learn to take major discussions, such as different articles, to other threads, everyone becomes happy at the state of the site. Reed gets the new discussions going, and the common folk get to keep a thread for everyday discussion. For example, a while back, I made a post about what phone to get, and few people commented. If that was it's own thread, it would have been a waste of time, as that post could have been made here, and received the same, if not more, amount of comments.

In conclusion, I believe that this site needs the conversation thread, but as a way of discussing issues that can't be solved by mindless threads, but the issues that can be solved by said threads should be created in them. We may have a new layout, but that doesn't mean we want mindless changes to the site. As others have said. This is a community, so let us vote like a community, instead of forcing what someone thinks is right onto the common member.

So guys, I'm gonna be real here: I've been noticing my self esteem has been sorely depleting. For some reason in the past couple of months, I've been paranoid that a lot of my "friends" are secretly annoyed by me and are hanging out with me only to be nice. I don't know where this is coming from, as I'm the class clown that cracks jokes in class that most people laugh at. But now, I've been becoming more afraid that my jokes are annoying and people are only laughing to be friendly with me. Is this a rational concern?

I've worried and thought about that since i was a kid (I'm a class clown too.). Don't worry you're fine. That old self-esteem tends to screw you and make you feel horrible in the most nasty times.

Trust me, if you've been the "class clown" for a while then there's no need to fear that people are just laughing to be polite. I found that especially in High School (I only got to experience the lovely U.S. system for a year,) people definitely aren't afraid to say what's on their mind and they wouldn't be afraid to speak up if they found you were irritating them. Hell, even I spoke up every once in a while and I consider myself to be a pretty quiet and reserved guy.

Just like you and hunter, I was always the "class clown". I used to be in the same exact position you are now. A year ago, I told my class my close friend my fear. His response was "Are you fucking kidding me?", and then he laughed his head off.

That pretty much set me straight for good.

I recently got a driver's license and have been struggling to find my way in the city. I get lost pretty fast, I also finally understand why people hate traffic (Moron honking his car horn 10 times in a row...).

Anyway, soon I'm going to a YCS. I bet none of you know what that is, so I'll tell you. It's the "YUGIOH Championship Series". A Worldwide Yugioh tournament, with thousands of people attending. A couple of my friends are going aswell. It will be the first Yugioh tournament I've been to in awhile, so yeah, kinda exciting.

What makes you say that? Reed said he was considering it, and it is clear that the majority of members do not wish for it to be closed. If Reed carries on and continues to close it, that would be a very dictator-esque move on his part.

Lucky! Japan is easily the best city for tourism.
