Clones need to be condensed into other character's extra costumes.
Example.. Mario is selected, mario can be changed into: Mario, Fire Mario, Dr. Mario, Luigi, so on..
Make room for unique character's slots.
I say give Bomberman his blue bombs, c4, and claymore/landmines (or is that to much like Snake)
Or give him different style bombs like only vertical or only horizontal, and regular explosion.
Agreed, Luigi has only one or two moves similar to Mario (but only by appearance), but the rest is unique.
Honestly, I would prefer it didn't. Smash Bros. is a cartoony game, with cartoony, nintendo-y characters. That's why I hate Snake in the game so much, he didn't fit IMO.
I wouldn't mind a few randoms from other series, like as I said, Banjo Kazooie, or Sackboy. But the second they start introducing realistic characters from all these shooters and sht, it would ruin the series. I say keep the game nintendo, maybe with a couple of cartoony third party characters here and there.
I'd like it to have some third party characters, but only in style of SSBB (wacky), and still enough Nintendo characters to know this is a Nintendo game.
If it's real, there's no idea, the only "screenshot" of it was the one with the clown from Twisted Medal.
Megaman is the character that needs to be there the most. XP
Just let me keep Lucario. Only character I used :P
I'm not sure I agree with the idea that only characters who fit this "cartoony" or lighthearted stylistic criteria should be allowed entry, and it's not exactly taken into consideration by HAL or Sakurai anyway. The only reason I could imagine Snake not fitting with the Brawl universe is due to the violent nature of the Metal Gear Solid series, which is why most of his moveset is based around explosives and CQC, rather than firearms. Other than that, I thought he fit well enough. Plus, someone like Samus Aran is already fairly realistic in terms of design and character proportion, and in fact originates from one of Nintendo's darker franchises.
