Default The Super Smash Bros. 4 Thread of Anticipation

So yeah, I wanted to make this, and I did. Sue me.

Nintendo has announced that once Masahiro Sakurai is finished with Kid Icarus: Uprising that he'll be working on a new Smash Bros title. The game will be for Wii U and 3DS and work together "in some fashion." Details pending.
We know that SSB4 is coming out. But we also know that it might take a little bit of time for that to happen. So, this thread is for all discussion on what we want to see in the game.

Which old characters should come back?
    NEW Characters?
    Retro Stages?
    NEW Stages?
    Control Systems?
    A new one-player adventure mode?

    Let us know!

    ------

Personally, I would love to see Mewtwo make a comeback, it was disappointing that he wasn't in brawl. I like that they eliminated the idea of clone characters in brawl but I would like to see them do it even more, so no characters have the same set of moves.
Also, for new characters, I would love to see King K.Rool, and Dixie Kong. I don't understand why they weren't in the last one to be honest.

This will be amazing. This is by far my most anticipated 3DS game. Too bad I 'll be waiting a while.

Should be in the Game Discussion subforum, but I suppose Reed will move it.

As for the game, I would love to have another adventure mode. Subspace Emissary was very fun, both solo and co-op.

As for characters, I would love to see some more 3rd party support. Like AiAi from Monkey Ball or Mega Man. Also Geno too ;D

Super Smash Bros. is such an interesting series to me. No matter what, I always find myself overwhelmingly excited at the mere chance of a new entry releasing. Even if Brawl didn't have the same impact on me that Melee did, I remember staying up to date on details released through the Dojo every day. I'd love to see something similarly done for SSB4, when the time comes.

As for characters, Zael and Calista would make cool additions. For something more expected, Mega Man seems like an obvious choice to continue the 3rd-party contributions started by Snake and Sonic.

I would stay up till midnight, (quite foolishly I might add,) to see if anything had been added. Obviously, it had not. Also, Brawl was made 4 years ago... holy shit time flies.

More third party characters would be nice. I think SMHS said it perfectly with Mega Man (From, Mega Man X, not the weird art styles they have now). Obviously, having Shadow as a main character was missed in SSBB so that would be nice as well.

Was I the only one kind of disappointed with Brawl?

I'm conflicted on this matter. There were parts of Brawl I think are improvements over Melee (the roster being the most obvious), but it didn't draw me in the same way Melee did. Either way, I still thought it was a great game in it's own right.

I was extremely happy with everything it offered, with the exception of the online multiplayer, which was pretty lackluster. However, if all they had to work with at the time was NWFC, they didn't really have many options.

Kinda. It was just that it was no where near as good as melee.

I honestly prefered Brawl to any of the other SSB games. I loved it.

Oh, and I put this in the wrong thread by accident haha, thanks Reed for moving it.

Definitely, the game became SO much better when I put Banjo and Kazooie in it.

Give me solid online gameplay and a better story mode, along with the return of Board the Platforms, and I'll be good.

I always dislike the fans of series like these, because you have fans that absolutely demand only characters that they want in the game themselves.

With no regard for how the legal rights are handled, no idea what the process is for Nintendo to ask to use a certain character, or the actual concept of the game itself. People make these lists all day, like, I want "this character". It's all circulated in pointless speculating, if you're going to speculate about a fighting game, try to do it with realistic suggestions.

With that said, I think they should completely get rid of clone characters, it's cramming up the roster and there are better characters to put in instead of clones. If the online play isn't up to snuff, that will most likely be a near life or death situation to me whether I want to buy this. Also, how can people openly talk about Nintendo games like these without knowing how it's actually going to play? I'm not going to play a fighting game with a touch-screen. I at least want to use a controller that has a rumble feature.
