Default Purchase Advice - Should I buy it?

We use to have this thread but I searched and I seem to not be able to find it. Maybe it got archived or something. So please for the love of god don't bitch about that.

This is a thread we ask each other about what we want to buy, gaming related, post about deals and good values too.

Personally? I've been considering getting Just Cause 2. But I fear I might get bored of the game at one point, making it really not worth it. Any advice?

The original Fallout and Fallout 2 are pretty good. Terraria is pretty awesome too, if you don't already have it.

Yes, it is compatible with Nintendo DS games.

You can also play lots of gameboy, nes and snes titles on it buying them from Nintendo eShop.

That may have just swayed me.

Yeah there are always some limitations regards backwards compatibility with the consoles and portables nowadays.

Just Cause 2 has a massive world, so if you're interested in completing the game through and through, it's going to last you a long time. The missions can be fairly varied, and how much you get out of them usually depends on your own creativity, and how you approach each one's goals. Of course, there's still the likely chance that things will get repetitive from time to time. Mindless destruction is the best way to describe Just Cause 2.

It's $15 on Steam, $20 on consoles. I'd say that's a pretty fair price for it.

I have spent so much time with the demo of Just Cause 2, and I've been meaning to get it for some time now. Sounds like that will be next on my list after ME2 and ME3.

Just Cause 2 is a great game, I've goofed around in it for about 80 hours. If you're not convinced, take a look at this montage:

Is Fallout: New Vegas worth getting? I've been thinking about buying it for some time now.

    Yes. Yes. Yes and yes.

Fallout New Vegas has much more content than the third game, some very good voice acting, a HUGE world to explore which is QUADRUPLED if you get the Ultimate Edition with all DLC and has a very well written story and some amazingly well done sidequests.

Great thread but that title is so long...

As far as Just Cause 2 goes, it's really fun game. I bought it last week for $5 from STEAM which was a steal at that time.

Okay, so I take it that Fallout: NV Ultimate Edition for 20 bucks at a local store is a great deal. I'll probably pick it up some day next week.

Guys, what are some good games for the PS3/PS2/Wii that you can find only in Japan? Preferably RPGs. Also, if there are any exclusive games that weren't released in America (etc. Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+), I was wondering if there are any Final Fantasy Japan exclusives (excluding the old Famicon games/older era). Thanks.
