I grew up watching Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop. I'm glad to see others love those shows too!

Steins; Gate is definitely my favorite recent(semi-recent) anime that I've seen! Have you guys seen Steins;Gate OVA(Episode 25), it was great! Even though I was satisfied with the ending, the extra episode still had the great feel that is Steins; Gate. El Psy Congroo

Anyone here a fan of Makoto Shinkai; Place Promised in Our Early Days, 5cm per second, Children who chase lost voices from deep below?
He makes the best looking animes that I've ever seen! I met him in person at NY Comic Con 2011 and he's really cool guy. Even though we didn't really speak cause he doesn't speak english well; it was still awesome shaking his hand!

Yes, I've been watching Stein's Gate as well and it is awesome. And Shinkai is a living legend - I was so blessed to be able to attend a screening of 5cm Per Second with an interview session with him afterwards. I don't think I've ever smiled so hard in my life ~ one of the most memorable experiences of the interview was when he was asked what he missed the most about Japan. His reply? His cat.
    bless you with this DOPE

Anyone here ever seen the movie "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time"? That movie was epic. And it made me cry like a little bitch.

I don't watch too much anime, I mostly read manga. The only series I've watched is Darker than Black.

I watched the shit out of Zoids when I was but a wee lad.
Seeing as how I haven't even seen so much as a youtube clip since then we're probably talking about some nostalgia when I finally do watch it again..

I also watched ALOT Dragon Ball Z, but that's a given, right?
Sonic X in the early 2000's.. bleh
And do I even have to mention that Sonic Movie?

    That's about it. :I

I absolutely loved 5cm Per Second. My wallpaper proves it

Also, last night I started watching Death Note after hearing all the hubba bubba about it. I'm at Episode 18 now, it's very interesting so far.

Good. It is one of my all time favourite animes. Again, I recommend it to anyone and everyone! Even if you are not an anime fan.

Monster go watch it NOW. I can't believe that many of you haven't seen it. It's easily the deepest and most complex anime i have ever seen, and it's drawn in a realistic way so you don't have to deal with deformed characters. You'll be blown away after finishing the series.
OBVIOUSLY THE REAL REASON WHY VGBA IS STILL ALIVE.

So did I, the original of course. Jaden was just annoying, Yusei was an emo, and don't even get me started on the new kid. I also watched all of season 0, and found it to be very interesting to see the gang not solving every problem with a children's card game.

I remember watching Yugioh as a kid, and how they would drag out duels over 10 episodes, slowly explaining what every card's purpose was, every single time.

The characters in the show never actually followed the rules of the official card game. They usually just made them up as they went along with each duel.

Ahahahaha, same thing with Naruto. The fights would last sometimes up to 10+ episodes. If they just showed the actual fighting, it would last maybe half of a single episode. Each move is carefully planned and calculated for an entire episode, with a lot of glaring and grimacing at each other. XD

Aha. There is alot less of that in Shippuden though and less flashbacks too. Ugh, flashbacks.. *has a flashback of watching flashbacks*
