    Smile TMRD - Ratatouille (WiP)

Yes, tmrd is trying to make a new box. Let's see if I can finish it.
To continue along the lines of my Up and Monsters, Inc boxes, here is another Pixar boxart, ratatouille.

The wall and the floor are most likely placeholders. I don't really know what to put down the bottom. Any ideas? I was thinking about having Linguini looking over the edge towards the city, wearing his hat, with the rat's silhouette being visible through the hat. Idk. ahaha. Any ideas?

I tried adding some stuff to the wall to make it less plain. Now, what to do with the bottom. hmm.

I've decided that I don't like the rats the way they are at the bottom. I'll probably remove them.

If they were less copy-paste looking I think they would really add to the design.

I'm thinking of still incorporating the rats but having them above ground, or something. And yeah. Just keeping y'all up to date

I like it a lot, but I really wish you would break out of your comfort zone a bit more. When I saw the title of the thread I knew exactly what the box was going to look like.

Beardedwalrus is right. You've used this style for many of your boxes. Fortunately, the style goes REALLY well with this movie and with this particular idea of yours. It looks fantastic. Just a few things I'm not liking:

    1) The rats. Yeah, you're gonna fix them and stuff, but I just don't like the idea. It's like ... too much. You've already got the rat incorporated in the sign / logo and I feel like that's enough. The tunnel also looks like some kind of band across the box ... Idk.

    2) The color of the ground. I'm assuming that the orange on the bottom is the ground. It confuses me because it's almost the same color as the sky, so it looks like the entire box got cut off at that point and the background sky layer remained ... What if you went with a darker color with some kind of stone ground or something?

Yeah, I see what you mean. I definitely will try to break out of my comfort zone for my next box, but I really do want to finish this one the way I started it though. And if I decided to do all the pixar boxes, I would make them all like this to be more uniform.
But yeah, next time I will try to change it up a bit.

I know I'm five months late, but I ended up posting it.
