VGBA Logo Redesign Competition FINAL VOTING Round

How This Will Work
First, you will vote by sending me a PM stating your TOP choice for new logo by telling me which number logos you like the best (i.e. Logo #2, #14, or #21).

The authors of the logos will remain anonymous until the winner is chosen. The designers of the logos are encouraged to remain ANONYMOUS. This will keep the competition from becoming a popularity contest and the logos will be judged by their own merit.

Important Dates:

2/07/2012 - THE TOP WINNER VOTES BEGIN
2/17/2012 - THE DEADLINE
2/18/2012 - THE WINNER IS CHOSEN

Note that the winner of the VGBA logo competition will not be the official one unless designated as such by Reed. Also,
I've chosen to group all of entries 23-26 together since they are essentially the same logo.

First, you will vote by sending me a PM stating your TOP THREE choices for new logo by telling me which number logos you like the best (i.e. Logo #1, #3, etc.). Once we pick the top 5 logos over a span of approximately 5 days, I will count up all of the votes and then create a new thread showing the Top 5. From there, we will hold one more vote for which is the best one.

Changed it up. The way the numbers worked out didn't make this an easy process, and I just decided that it would be easier to just have to vote for the top 1.

I skipped a step because it seemed unnecessary and delayed it because I didn't think the previously allotted time was enough for people to notice this thread and send their votes in.

Your extension of almost an extra week seems unnecessary. Did you not have good participation in the last round? Perhaps the interest in this contest is just not there.

2 looks very good, but the sub text should be removed, it doesn't look good sized down.

#2 is quite good, actually. It has a lighthearted charm to it that's fitting of the site's community, while still being artistic in it's own right. The subtext would have to be removed, though, for obvious reasons.

To be honest, I'm not sure any of them really work that well as they are.

#2 needs to have the small text removed altogether, regardless of the scale. The smaller "plus" should be comparable in size to the larger plus.

#14 looks good visually as shown here, but the placement of the pluses can confuse the viewer into thinking the logo is saying VGBR, especially when scaled down.

#21 is the only design that does not use the pluses. Are these items critical to the logo design?

#26 is an interesting design, but it puts the viewer's focus on the GB, leaving the V and A as supporting items and not so much as being critical portions of the identity. Not to mention the fact the B looks like an 8.
