Batman Beyond Movie -WIP- [13]

Hey.
I think the front is almost finished.. I don't really know how active I will use this thread, but y'know.. why not?
I was actually kinda inspired by Silent man's Beyond wip to start this (Again.) This si my 4th time trying to make this exact box.

Yup.

Thoughts? Any idea on who I should cast as Terry McGinnis? I'm already decided on Bruce Wayne, that's Michael Keaton, as I'm basing this after the Tim Burton Bat-Cannon.

The mouth region is odd. I don't like the logo either.

I've had alot of trouble with the logo. That was the last thing I did. What do you suggest I do to the logo?

Darken the red and make it a little more realistic, but broken, like the original Arkham City logo

I thought about it, I tried, but like.. this is Batman of the FUTURE. Not Arkham City.

I think it needs a new font, and maybe make it a bit darker.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and he doesn't have a cape in Batman Beyond.

Looks like you're trying to match a Nolanverse atmosphere, so I would suggest mimicking the style of the Nolan Batman films' logos. Also, Batman looks really goofy, it's too much of a simple recolor. Terry's Batman was on the whole a lot leaner and his ears were bigger and sharper with a more athletic build.

I know, it's not meant to be a literal representation, it's a live action translation, meant to resemble to original but not be so literal.. Also, it's hard to see, but the underside is red. He did have red wings at times.

Then you could do a better job of mimmicking the 80's style. You have a Nolan Batman and a background very reminiscent of the brownish bat filled Batman Begins posters. Your movie is looking more like this:

Neither your shiny Batman render nor your shiny logo show off the sort of gothic vibe the Burton films put out. And even Batman Beyond was an evolution of that gothic vibe. What you have right now is too cartoony and campy.

The lighting effects might seem a little more like the modern stuff, but this is a more modern time. You simply didn't see stuff like that back then. ...right?

And while you yeah, it doesn't look like Batman returns, it's not really supposed to. Yes, returns is in the cannon I'm talking about, but I'm more focused on the far superior Batman, which looked like this..




(i don't know, maybe these aren't good representations of the film)

But let's be fair, TAS and BB had very different styles, the kind of difference I imagine 89 and this BB would have.

I would consider removing the mouth marks on the small render. It looks odd this way.
