Kickstart 2012

Another year, another time to start this up, eh? Welcome to Kickstart, folks, an event focused on posting the best possible boxes we can. And event where you are encouraged to do your best with no restraints and limitations.



Kickstart was an event started by Koopadasher, the basic Idea was from Xcore and I helped co-ordinate it a bit(not much, most credit goes to Koops!) by sending out messages to old members, I had fun doing that and it brought out the best the site had to offer.

Kickstart is an event thought up by Koops and Xcore to bring out the best of the best from each author on the site, the cream of the crop. The creme de la creme. And last year was amazing, we got some of the best stuff from our members! Here, don't take my word for it, go here: kickstart2011.

Note: This is an event done on neutral grounds... There is no standard for a "good" box. I do not encourage elitism.



Ah, now the main question, how does one join kickstart. Well good news, you can formally announce your attendance here or join up whenever you want when the event happens. There are no limitations to who can join, and how or when they can join. We're in this for the art, after all.

To submit your box tag it with kickstart2012. Something to note though, while joining is not limited to anyone; you are free to submit as MANY boxes as you can for it as long as it is posted AFTER the event date and please refrain from submissions when it's over.



To keep it open ended, I've thought of Late January to mid February, This is not because I can't think anything up, I have the exact date right here *points to sheet of paper*. It's just to not pressure you into rushing your work, I'll give you the solid date after a day or two.(nice save!)

Sounds good, if I ever get around to fixing my Win7 install I may open up Photoshop and participate. I like how this one will be public. Even though surprising everyone with all the boxes was cool, I think it would be better if more people could join in. Looking back, the last box I posted was from Kick Start 2011 :/
