I don't know whether to blame the Actor, or Nolan, but the dialogue just seems so out of character. And I will never get used to that mask, it looks terrible, and it just makes things worse now that Bane's voice is being filtered through it. I was hoping to hear Bane with a Spanish accent, as he usually is portrayed. I was also hoping Bane's entrance in the film would be more.... significant. What do I mean? Well Bane was kept in a prison to atone for his father's crimes for a good portion of his life. That would have been a good place to start. No, instead Bane appeared within like 2 minutes, in the most casual and insignificant way. Doesn't make for good drama. No signs of Venom at this point, although its only a short clip so I'll let it slide, and I think it would have been interesting to see Bane's teddy bear in one or more shots.

Also, concerning the theory earlier that batman will die. He probably will, but according to comic continuity, Azure takes batman's place while he's recovering. That said, we might be seeing him in the film as well.
I was iffy about Bane and Catwoman in general. I would have loved to see Anthonk Hopkins be the Penguin. Maybe have Harley in it and she stages a break out at Arkham or something.

I love Bane. He's my favorite Batman villain, debatable my favorite comic villain. But even I agree that the Penguin and Riddler both would have made much bother choices for a main antagonist.

So I watched the prologue to this. Couldn't understand a single word Bane was saying. This probably isn't a good thing.

Good story. Though I'm curious why that specific theater didn't have the trailer.

It was only in Select IMAX theaters and it played with Mission Impossible 4.

No, that was the prologue. The 2nd trailer played with Sherlock Holmes 2.

It was bad film quality. Cell-Phone quality.
The problem I have is that he's not playing the part of Bane right at all. And I don't blame him. I blame Nolan for completely fuckign his character up.

    Mother of God..

I will be a bit disappointed if Bane is fucked up, but right now, there's plenty of hope. I'm reserving judgement til I see the film. Anything can happen.

Translation for Bane: "When Gotham is ashes, you have my permission to die."
I had to turn my volume up to hear it coherently, and even then I'm not sure that's right.

And what are they saying the part right before the football field succumbs?

All I want to know is why that idiot was still holding the ball while running.

I think he didn't know the explosion was behind him. I think he thought they were just chasing him cause he had the ball. Don't know how he wouldn't notice, but it kinda makes sense.

Yeah he didn't know there was an explosion. And with the roaring crowd and him being in the zone, it's not impossible for him to have not noticed.

And Bane says, "When Gotham is in ashes, you have my permission to die."

It's just that like how can you not feel the ground vibrating like crazy?

I dunno, it just feels really odd.

I dont know. Maybe he's like so focused on running that he isn't paying attention to everything?

And it's also just a movie..

Does it really make a difference whether he continues holding the ball or not? haha. I think i would have prefered that scene if none of the players survived lmao. Or if they at least cut the scene earlier so we dont know if he survived it or not.

I actually liked how it was shot. He's just running and he turns around expecting the crowd to be cheering for him for getting a touchdown, only to find that all the other players are dead.
However, it seems real stupid at the same time. When had Bane EVER used explosives, let alone blow up an entire football field. It's just like, why?

    That's a tired excuse.

Bane is still hard to understand, even in HD. It'd be nice if the distortion of Hardy's voice through the mask was toned back before the premiere.
