Hello one and all. In order to add my piece to help invigorate the site I am announcing my newest competition...

Stevencho's Mini-Competitions!

This will be a monthly event that will feature just one exciting round and more importantly have actual prizes for the winners. Yes this may be similar to Themes of the Month but I am deciding to take a more traditional competition and lighthearted approach towards this new event. It will be similar to the competitions ran back in 2008/2009 which were relatively successful with the exception that these "Mini" Competitions will be only one round and the boxes will be submitted to the main site (hopefully helping to revive activity on the main site in the process).

There will be no judges that give lengthy comments and criticisms. All comments will be given on the main site at each members discretion and the winners will be decided by the amount of points from favs they receive at the end of a given date. Because of this there will be no signups. These Mini Competitions will be designed to be fun and easy so that anyone can join no matter if you've been here 5 years or 5 days. With that, all will be welcome to participate in these events and have the opportunity to win a prize.

The success of this event though resides mostly on the VGBA community so hopefully there will be great participation as I have some exciting yet fairly easy rounds planned for the future.

The First Mini-Competition will be up tomorrow on December 1st, 2011 with more specific details, so stay tuned!

I click here because I saw prize, but I guess I dust off Photoshop for an actual challenge. Who knows, maybe Illustrator might see the light of day again.

Just as an announcement I pushed off the first round to today so as not to conflict with the Christmas Comp and cause confusion. You should see the first round up in a few hours.
