I could only go for a dark Superman movie is if they did the epic Death of Superman story, but I doubt they'd go there for a reboot film. That said, I don't like the gray colors, I hope that's not throughout the movie.

I like 300, I like Watchmen...I'm not sure this is a good idea, as the tone is likely to be dark, as others have mentioned.

Relatively dark (bad) lighting in one promo image doesn't mean the movie is some dark, gritty take on Superman in the likes of Batman Begins or Dark Knight. Unless it's been officially said that that's the direction they're taking, I don't see how this means anything.

On Superman's appearance, I don't like the suit. The scaly texture doesn't look right at all. And why would he have the more traditional hairstyle as Clark, but not his alter ego?

Umm to hide his identity maybe?? LOL. Also i dont think anyones thinking its going to be dark just because of the lighting of the picture, but because its coming to us from Snyder and Nolan. Well at least thats the reason i can see the movie being dark.

Isn't it usually the other way around? His hair looks kind of strange in the first image. And Snyder is actually one of the reasons I'm not all that interested in the movie. I didn't care for 300 or Watchmen, and I heard Sucker Punch was horrible. I didn't realize Nolan was tied to this though.

Nolan and Snyder are the reasons I feel it would possibly be dark. I'm almost okay with the scaly texture on the costume, though it could stand to be a bit lighter and brighter.

I much prefer Marvel over DC, and Batman over Superman, but I'm sure I'll eventually give it a try, probably after it hits DVD.

When they did Lois & Clark with Dean Cain, they had the curl for Clark and the slicked back for Superman. So maybe they wanted to change it up again for this.

That's true, I completely forgot about the Lois & Clark show. The suit bothers me more than the hair anyway. I think the texture could be toned down.
