Excellent idea. I sent Reed a message prior to your thread about stickying something like this so it's easy to find.

    Pretty good for a first!

Try finding a different castle as your background as the artstyles need to be consistent and also fill the nintendo logo white as that is how it's supposed to be. Good Job.

That's actually not bad. The background is fuzzy and looks strange because the render on top of it is so clean.

For a first, it's really nice. I would recommend you find a different castle background to use. One thing that will really make your box flow nicely is to use a consistent art style throughout. What I mean by that is, you want everything on the box to look like it belongs together. While the background you have chosen is fitting for the Mario series, it clashes a bit with the render on the front. I think this has potential, and I'd like to see it with a different background.

Pretty good but the background is still fuzzy and out of place.

Yes, and to the left of mario is just a green empty space. Try adding another character like Bowser or a goomba.

Thanks to RareWareCentral and VGBoxart for the renders and logo.

Why don't you try a background with those cute mountains from the classic Mario-games (you know those with eyes and dots etc)? They shoudn't be too hard to draw if you can't find a decent picture.

@GameBoy64The same problem with the background, it's fuzzy and weird. The font for "They are back!" should also be changed and the big logo should be way smaller.

Which program are you using? Gimp, PS?

Not too bad but the logo definitely needs some work.

Ok, I was going to make a thread about this but since things are as they are (me not using this forum to often) I'll just put it here for now.

I am working on a super Maus-collection, with film adaptions of both Maus books, a complete edition of the two books, the book MetaMaus (a new book about how he wrote Maus) and maybe even a video game.

I must admit a a little stuck here, I don't really know were to go with this... I was thinking of letting a rat's tail wriggle out of the hole but I don't know.

    Wow.
    That is amazing!
I'd recommend to make one of the characters from the book peeking out of the hole to look at the Cat-Nazi sign.
    Keep it up!

Definitely an improvement but the font choice on the back, I think, could be better.

    Thanks!

Yeah I thought about that too, I'll try to make a nice looking rat (or maybe two) and let them peek out.
