I know I'm judging a book by it's cover here but this one looks like it could be more horror themed with the blood logo and stuff. Also now it has been leaked I think an early announcement might happen.

The article said it's a possible "complete overhaul", let's hope that is true, and no the "DMC" kind of overhaul. Also I would like to see a new main character, rather than another one coming back to star again.

Maybe I should be posting this in the Minority Gaming Opinions Thread...but I really liked RE5.

I doubt this would be a reboot if it's 6. I do think it's time for a new hero character. I would have said bring back Chris and Jill if Jill wasn't a super soldier lol.

as a game it was pretty fun, but as a Resident Evil, I felt it did poorly in most aspects, changr the character names and remove the few Umbrella references and it's a whole new franchise, very little tied it to the series

I see your point, but I thought it was a logical conclusion after 4. I'd rather see them focus on true HD remakes of Zero-Code Veronica, but I know I'm in dreamland.

This does remind me that I haven't beaten Code Veronica X due to issues with a boss fight.

Because a lot of people I know can't be assed to go back and play the original PS1 games. I personally had some great fun with RE5, and as much as I liked Resident Evil 4, I think some people put wayyyy too much stock in that game. It was awesome and cool and had a great setting, but is it really as amazing in the past ten years of games as people make it out to be?...

If that is the case then, I can understand. I still say Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2 are neck and neck, because I remember watching my brother play the original right around the time it came out and being in complete shock and terror. I hadn't given enough time to Code Veronica X, but aside from that, I've put a decent amount of effort into the series, and while I do say 5 ranks towards the bottom, I still had a blast with it, and people talk as if it's a complete piece of shit.
