A few words before we begin:
First and foremost, just because you didn't win the competition doesn't mean you suck. What I would do is take the comments that you've been given by our fantastic panel of judges as well as on the actual page of your box, and build your skill!

Second of all, judges, do not reveal your identities. I have my reasons for this.

Third of all, we were really busy this month and didn’t have time to give in depth commentary on each box, aside from one of the more hard working judges who commented on all of them. Thanks unnamed judge!

Ok, now that we've gotten over all the boring stuff, let's look at the reviews, shall we?

    REVIEWS:

The format will be like this:
    Name of Box | Author
    Scores
    Additional Comments and Critiques

    *Worst Boxart Ever | mchapra
    2, 3, 1, 6

Stationary clouds are a real tragedy.

    Not sure if should judge

    Gravity Daze | Js2Kings
    3, 3, 2, 4

Definitely not enough attention to this with its awesome front and its custom official-looking template, but the back really brings it down as it’s flooded with text.

The front is a lovely depiction of the fantastical, bizarre world of the game. The back suffers from some heavy text, and going overboard with the wavy technique.

    TESV: Skyrim | Frostbite
    4, 4.5, 3, 4

Creativity and quality design, two aspects we need more of from new members. I especially like how specific elements of the inner image line up within the silhouette. The front comes together quite well, as one of the better Elder Scrolls covers on the site.

    Assassin's Creed Revelations | stevanR80
    2, 2.5, 3, 3

The effects used on Ezio and the cover in general don't flow well, and it ends up with a muddy, messy look. The idea could work, but the effects would need to be toned down.

Not a fan of the filters

Hitman Absolution | Strike the Wolf
    2.5, 2, 3, 2.5

Really clean and similar to the other Hitman boxes, but the back is arranged in a way that instead of just being simple and clean, it’s instead bland and unsymmetrical.

Very similar to the other two Hitman theme submissions, although much more to the point. A more subtle approach, considering what kind of game this is, would've been great.

Sonic Generations | Strike the Wolf…again
    3, 2.5, 2, 3.5

This actually looks really official, and it’s a shame you didn’t put an actual presentation or 3D template to make this look even nicer, or else I would’ve given this a bit of a higher score.

The white backgrounds may be overbearing, a counter to the game's lush, vibrant world. However, it does have an authentic Japanese look to it, the white possibly being a contributing factor to that.

    Hitman Absolution | LEGOslayer
    3, 3.5, 2, 3

Front is gorgeous, but the back seems really low quality. And I don’t mean it looks bad, but I mean it literally looks like you saved this as a .jpeg, posted it, then saved it as a .jpeg again, and repeated this process. Maybe it’s because of the use of blue when my mind is trying to see it as black.

The front is simple yet effective. The back could work, unfortunately the brighter blue lighting isn't doing it any favors. A darker approach would've been more well advised.

    Hitman Absolution | AgentLampshade
    3, 3, 3, 3.5

Should’ve entered this in the first comp.

Very clean, almost classy in execution. The front works well in its simplicity, the black suit and red tie being instantly recognizable. What more do you need?

    Assassin's Creed Revelations | Bastart
    3.5, 3, 4, 3.5

Quality blending, lighting and colors make for a strong front in theory. The images of Ezio and Altair, however, seem like odd choices. The back fares better, and everything flows quite nicely.

    Bastion | Titan38
    4, 4, 4, 4

You've done this wildly unique, creative game justice. Simple as that, very nice work.

Saints Row: The Third | amad2
    2.5, 3, 3, 2.5

Again I must restate, while the cover holds a sense of simplicity, that's not what exactly what comes to mind when thinking of Saints Row. The over-the-top, ridiculous action could have been better represented in lieu of a more reserved design, which ends up coming off as too bare and empty.

    Dead Island | Bastart…again
    3, 3.5, 3, 3

The heavy grain filter and distorted effects work well with this type of game, but the varying lighting and colors of the two images (on either side) are distracting. There needs to be consistency between the two, alongside the zombie up front.

Kid Icarus: Uprising | Unknown Flames
    4, 4, 3, 3.5

The stars are a little strong, but the overall design is lovely. Great vibrant colors and light, the empty space used on the front working exceptionally well.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier | Icyfirefists
    3, 5, 3, 4

The update is significantly improved. Better placement of the Ghost symbol, and the synopsis/screenshot borders look nice. The upper half of the front is still barren, but less so than before.

    Resistance 3 | hesit8
    4.5, 5, 4, 4.5

Again, impressive work. The propaganda-style cover is no new idea, but your Olly Moss-inspired art style works well in the concept's favor. In fact, you've quite easily outdone Moss' efforts on the official cover.

    Kid Icarus: Uprising | twoxT
    2.5, 3, 3, 2.5

A darker theme is a good change of pace, however it's a bit barren. The back especially suffers from some generic layout choices, and empty space.

    Tomb Raider | Squall234
    4, 4, 3, 4

The front is near perfect as is. Stellar lighting effects (I am a sucker from blinding light, after all), and strong colors. The back's decent, although the screenshots take a bit too much vertical space, and the tagline could use some work.

*mchapra’s box doesn’t count due to being posted before June 15th when the competition started.

I don't know how you're capable of looking at all these boxxes and also judge them at the same time, RESPECT!

Quality blending, lighting and colors make for a strong front in theory. The images of Ezio and Altair, however, seem like odd choices. The back fares better, and everything flows quite nicely.

Does it seem odd to have Ezio and Altair on the front? the game is playable as both, the story is basically about these two characters and Desmond
and in the trailer you see Altair showing up. Anyway, I'm pleased the back worked out well after the comments and suggestions that have been made.

I think the judge meant the images that you used were odd. Congratz to the winners . I'm gonna have to step up my game if I ever want a chance at winning one of these, lol.

    Lol, Conglaturations.
