    Default The Official Xenoblade Thread

So you maybe asking the obvious question, What is Xenoblade? ALSO WHY DO WE NEED ANOTHER OFFICIAL THREADS HDSFJKLDSAHFJKLDSHFKDSH

Well my friends, Xenoblade is a role-playing video game published by Nintendo and developed by Monolith Soft for the Wii.

The game was announced during E3 2009 originally titled Monado: Beginning of the World, which showed a futuristic sword-wielding character battling giant robots and creatures as well as third-person exploration gameplay.

In January 2010, the game was renamed to Xenoblade to honor Tetsuya Takahashi, "who poured his soul into making this and who has been working on the Xeno series".

The game was released on June 10, 2010 in Japan and set to be released sometime in September of 2011 in PAL regions. However, there is currently no official word for a North American release. That needs to change.

I'm not trying to sound like a bot here, but please contribute to Operation Rainfall, and support the North American release of Xenoblade, as well as The Last Story and Pandora's Tower. It's a cause to let Nintendo know that there are a handful of fans that yearn for these games, and I know there are.

    Spread the word

One of the ways of doing this is by preordering Monado: Beginning of the World on Amazon, which was the tentative title for Xenoblade's "supposed" North American release. It is $60 dollars, which is $10 bucks more than what a Wii game should be priced at, but Amazon will likely bill you back if it reverts to $50 dollars, or refund you if the release doesn't happen (which I hope it won't)

The cause started yesterday, and already Xenoblade hit #4 in the top sales for Wii and #54 in video games. Pretty impressive.

For those who have a dust collecting Wii, keep Xenoblade alive, damn you.

I've had my eye on this game for a while. It looks cool, hopefully it comes to the US soon.

I've played this before, I don't speak any Japanese, but gameplay, graphics, atmosphere, and control, are all top notch, and this is definitely one of the better Wii games. It reminds me a lot of Xenogears

It is right now #1 in the top 100 video game sales on Amazon. Definitely a great sign.

This and The Last Story look incredible. I pray a NA release comes to fruition.

It was rejected by a Twitter post. Not even a press release, but a twitter post. C'mon Nintendo of America.

First time I'm hearing about this game, and-as always-I could care less about RPGs, but truly sucks. This better not happen with the Wii U.

So if you guys haven't heard, Nintendo announced on their Facebrick page that they are planning to release Xenoblade Chronicles statewide on April 2nd, 2012.

I would be excited if it wasn't being released so late, but whatever. This is probably one of the few instances that I've seen that a fan campaign actually worked.
