Episode 8: Scorpion and Sub-Zero Part 2 added to OP.
I won't say anything except we get to see the klassic "GET OVER HERE" chain move.
Great episode.
The ending was very anti-climatic.
That's interesting. I've always been deeply in love with the Mortal Kombat mythos. Its expansive history, mythologies, and cast of characters (Each with their own intricate back-stories) has always been the drawing part of the series for me.
Particularly Sub-Zero. Sure, he's always been my favorite character (I can remember the first time I saw the original Mortal Kombat being played at my babysitter's house, me, my cousin, and his children were all pretending to be the characters from the game, we didn't know anything about them though, except for Scorpion and "that blue ninja" who we called "ice." I announced enthusiastically that I was going to be Ice, my cousin declared ownership of Scorpion's character, and we fought to the death.) but he easily has the most fascinating and cool back-story out of any other character.
Fighting gods, escaping from hell and defeating Shinnok, being murdered only to lose his memory and come back to life serving the Brotherhood of the Shadow (The very organization he fought against in the afterlife?) and Shao Kahn?
Holy crap. I love it.
Episode 9: Cyrax and Sektor added.
Even if you haven't watched any of the others, watch this one. It's the best, by far.
I disagree. It was good, but not the best, and definitely not by far. I still enjoyed it though, except for a few bad bits of dialogue (Why would the computer say Cyrax was off-line if he just hops right back up? Even if it's in reference to his connection to the computer's monitoring, it seems out of place. Also toward the end, saying "project Hydro fatality" makes no sense.)
I was excited to see Hydro, though. I thought that was a pretty cool piece of fan service.
