You might want to take off the screencap for people who care about spoilers.

Episode 8: Scorpion and Sub-Zero Part 2 added to OP.

I won't say anything except we get to see the klassic "GET OVER HERE" chain move.

    Great episode.

Scorpion's resurrection was surprisingly anti-climactic. I mean, it's much cooler to die, be sent to hell, and make a deal with satan (Or Shinnok, I suppose) and come back later, than for Quan Chi to talk to his corpse immediately after killing him to bring him back.

I agree, although I'm just happen to see Quan Chi be Quan Chi.

I'm happy they got a better looking Quan Chi than the one in MK Mythologies. The costume was just a bit silly looking.

I actually thought his costume in that was pretty cool. I think that Mortal Kombat in general has a pretty silly mythos, so nothing seems too silly for me in any of the games.

    The ending was very anti-climatic.

That's interesting. I've always been deeply in love with the Mortal Kombat mythos. Its expansive history, mythologies, and cast of characters (Each with their own intricate back-stories) has always been the drawing part of the series for me.

Particularly Sub-Zero. Sure, he's always been my favorite character (I can remember the first time I saw the original Mortal Kombat being played at my babysitter's house, me, my cousin, and his children were all pretending to be the characters from the game, we didn't know anything about them though, except for Scorpion and "that blue ninja" who we called "ice." I announced enthusiastically that I was going to be Ice, my cousin declared ownership of Scorpion's character, and we fought to the death.) but he easily has the most fascinating and cool back-story out of any other character.

Fighting gods, escaping from hell and defeating Shinnok, being murdered only to lose his memory and come back to life serving the Brotherhood of the Shadow (The very organization he fought against in the afterlife?) and Shao Kahn?

    Holy crap. I love it.

All part of the cheesy but prestigious early 90s character design.

That, and the fact that the MK games had to work within the confines of costumes made for real people, and a pretty small budget. (Not that MK 3 had a small budget in general, but I'm sure the costumes were pretty low on the ladder as far as budget priorities go.)

Episode 9: Cyrax and Sektor added.

Even if you haven't watched any of the others, watch this one. It's the best, by far.

I watched about 2 minutes of it earlier and stopped. I'll probably watch it later, but the acting seemed really bad and I don't really care for Sektor or Cyrax.

I disagree. It was good, but not the best, and definitely not by far. I still enjoyed it though, except for a few bad bits of dialogue (Why would the computer say Cyrax was off-line if he just hops right back up? Even if it's in reference to his connection to the computer's monitoring, it seems out of place. Also toward the end, saying "project Hydro fatality" makes no sense.)

I was excited to see Hydro, though. I thought that was a pretty cool piece of fan service.
