Default Half Life 2: Episode 3 hints at in Portal 2???

All 50 of Portal 2’s achievements have been posted over on Xbox360Achievements.org and one is entitled “Ship Overboard” with the description “Discover The Missing Experiment.” The keen folks over on reddit have made the connection between this and The Borealis which you may remember as a the wrecked ship mentioned in Half-Life 2: Episode 2 that housed some Aperture Science experiments gone awry (see video below).

Some sort of reveal at the end of Portal 2 wouldn't be unexpected. They better do something, because I'm getting really freaking impatient here.

As there was a hint about it Ep. 2, it's not that suprising. And Valve has unofficially talked abot connecting the series for a while now, so I would rather be suprised if they had nothing to do with eachother. A reason for the third episode to release? possible.

Portal 2 is set a couple hundred years after the events of Half-Life 2, I think.

No, I didn't even go to the article. But I remember Valve saying that they were trying to keep the two games as far away from eachother as possible.

The main plot probably isn't concerning itself with the plot of the Half Life games, but seeing as they're set in the same universe, it's near impossible not to include an easter egg here or there. Especially for the teases at Valve.

So Portal was during Half-Life? I didn't know that. I just knew Portal 2 was set hundreds of years after the first portal. I wanted P2 and HL3 to happen at the same time. Meet Gordon? Why not?

Portal was either set in 2015 or the 90s, The Combine were in rule in 2015 but the invasion begun in the 90s.

Yeah, I've seen it before, but I want it officially in the game.

A lot of people missed this, but apparently there were some hints at the VGA's this year during Valve's Portal 2 performance. In the video with Wheatley, at the top you can see СПУТНИК НАБЛЮДЕНИЯ "ЛАНТАНУМ"

    In english: OBSERVATION SATELLITE "LANTHANUM"

Supposedly this is something related to HL, not too sure as I haven't played it much. I did think some of you would find it interesting though.

Valve confirmed that the video had no easter eggs regarding Half-Life.

Valve already came out and said there was nothing special about that video.

Valve hinted that they were working on a new game engine a while back. Oh and they clarified, Portal 2 and HL are far away from each other as possible besides the Borealis.

Valve is a clever bunch so I wouldn't be surprised it that has something to do with HL3 or Episode 3.

    20 years

Portal 2 takes place 200 years after Portal 1. Which took place in 2015, not long after the combine and just before gordon.
