I kind of liked Birth By Sleep, but I found 3 characters kind of annoying, when all I wanted was a Sora/Roxas type character to play as. I understand creating three different storylines with three different play styles, but I was just annoyed when only one played like Sora/Roxas, and I never even finished said person's story because one of the required Mini games that kept Screwing with me every time I went to play it.

    /Rant.
As you can see from the trailer I posted, this might be different. You can see Sora and Riku jumping in the walls, doing LeParkour and spinning on the light posts. And the co-drector (Tai Yasue) said that the dev. team plans on making a KH game which was not possible to make previously.

You could really call me a dolt for thinking that a series directed toward a younger audience, would have a more complex control scheme. I got into the series a bit early, hence the first one came out nearly ten years ago. I would say I grew out of it, however I will always be looking other the series' progress.

I could never read online to catch up on the series, it's not the same as playing through, watching all of the cut scenes and whatnot.

Yes, but as I said in my mini-rant, I just dropped money on a PSP so I could play Birth By Sleep (that, and my DS is broken). I really want to play these games, but I just feel...drained. I can never afford all the new games in the series, especially the ones that come out platforms I don't own/cannot afford.

In that context, why do games like Dynasty Warriors continue to get sales?

Simply, there's still a market for them.

Despite the fact that I'm not too crazy about Square-Enix's fixation on handheld remakes and spin-offs, I somehow continue to eat this stuff up. I don't plan on getting Re:Coded, though. I'm on the fence with these 2 new games.

I'm ready to move on in the story, while I'm still interested, instead of rehashing events of the past. Hopefully the 3DS game will finally ring in a new main installment.

I don't know dude, it got pretty strategic with 358/2 Days and Birth by Sleep. Recoded seems to feature the same level of unique character power customization as well.

I think his hair is cooler than Roxas.
You mean Sora? Honestly, I hope this game is just another spin-off, because I don't own a 3DS and don't plan on owning one.

    Yeah. Haha.
That posts were old. In this mean time I've beaten the first one and I'm halfway trough KH:II Final Mix+
And I like Roxas more than Sora now. I wish that Roxas was the main character and Sora his nobody .-.

Also, I hope it isn't a spin-off. I'm waiting for this game to come for me to buy a 3DS.

If I had it my way, there wouldn't be any characters like Sora, Riku, or Kairi. Just Disney and Final Fantasy characters. I hope in KH3 they do more of them. The majority of the FF characters are just from VII/VIII/X. I'd like to see some VI or XIII characters.

    http://andriasang.com/con0vm/nomura_kh_announce/

The Kingdom Hearts 3D Ultimania guide book is out today, and it has the expected interview with series mastermind Tetsuya Nomura.

A brief summary at FF Reunion reveals that the interview contains a teaser for the next entry (or entries) in the KH series. Nomura says that they've started making a variety of movements for the new title(s) in the series. He believes they'll be able to make an announcement pretty soon.

The interview also contains some of those obnoxious "censored" comments, where little bits are blocked out. If you can read Japanese, here's what FF Reunion wrote:

--Does the "Secret Message Unlocked" in KH3D hint at KHIII?

Nomura: About that, I'll leave it to your imagination. Well, you'll get the answer for that later.

    --KH3D FM?

Nomura: Maybe in a few years, but no plans for it right now. The Osaka team is really busy. \(^o^)/

    --Is BbS Volume 2 = BbS2?

Nomura: I used "A Fragmentary Passage" without regard to its context. What I mean is, there's a story for Volume Two, without using that scene. I can't say there isn't a possibility of making it, but there are no plans for it right now.

    --The Mysterious KH = 3D?

We interrupted titles in 3D, and we haven't reopened that discussion yet.

Nomura also said that there are no plans at present for Birth By Sleep 2 or a "Final Mix" version of KH3D. Square Enix previously released updated "Final Mix" versions of Birth By Sleep and Kingdom Hearts II.
Tetsuya Nomura is one of the few people who is so skilled at adapting to a method of consistently beating around the bush as the only way of speaking about anything.

The cryptic way he always speaks about Kingdom Hearts has been a never ending act of trolling to the fans that by now should only be considered to be risibly useless.

Tetsuya is quite possibly the king of messing with his fans.
