Rumor has it that the first game was tested on only one graphics card. Garrus' face has a low resolution texture, even when the texture detail is very high.
It's a minor inconvenience I'm willing to overlook though, the game played fine at about 30 - 40 FPS with a few dips.
Some highly-ranked guy (Vice-president?) of Gearbox said that Borderlands 2 was a "no-brainer" and IGN had an article saying they believe it'll be in 2011.
EDIT: Sorry, that doesn't sound very reputable, does it?
Will anyone here be preordering the Collectors Edition of the game? It includes the following:
-Mass Effect 3 game in a premium metal casing. The artwork shows Commander Shephard on the metal box and surrounded by a cardboard sleeve with N7 design
- 70-page hardcover art book. Inside will be 3D renders of characters, weapons, and no doubt some concept work from the game all lovngly produced by the Mass Effect team at Bioware
-Digital (extended) soundtrack for the game
-N7 fabric patch
-4×6 lithographic art print not available anywhere else
-Dark Horse Comics Mass Effect comic sporting a unique cover
That’s it for the material items, but you also get a load of digital content too:
-Normandy prop for your Xbox Live avatar
-N7 forum badges, social badges, and avatars
-In-game: N7 Arsenal Pack featuring a sniper rifle, shotgun, SMG, and pistol
-In-game: Robotic dog that will follow you around
-In-game: Commander Shepherd gets his very own N7 hoodie
I'll probably preorder the Collectors Edition around Christmas, since it doesn't come out until March. Not a bad CE if you ask me.
@Spiderpig - Is that Liara in a Samara costume? I'll be pissed if she's the Asari squad mate.
Yeah, Samara was a really cool character. I know it's unrealistic and they've confirmed they're not going to do this, but I'd love to be able to have every single squad character in this game. Like, 20 squad characters.
Also, along with my Cerberus pack, I just bought the Kasumi: Stolen Memory, Project Overlord, the Shadow Broker and Arrival DLC packs. Good stuff. I'm hyped for Mass Effect 3 again. The DLC is worth the purchase, by the way. Buying them all together makes it seem less of a rip off, as there's lots of hours of gameplay collectively.
James Vega looks like Kevin Durand with his face smashed in with a hammer. Yeah, no thanks.
So Garrus is the only decent party member announced so far? Surely Tali is a given to return. I'll also take anyone from Mass Effect 2, now, please.
I see what you mean about Ashley and Vega, but I didn't that Kaiden was that bad. I like Liara, too, so I'm glad she's returning. She was pretty awkward if you pursued her as a romantic interest, but otherwise she was cool. Especially in the Lair of the Shadow Broker.
Why not just have everyone return? That'd be pretty damn awesome.
I didn't play Shadow Broker, so I'll reserve judgment on Liara. Sadly everyone is off the table, seeing as Legion was confirmed to not be a squadmate, and BioWare hates Wrex fans for some reason.
For me to be perfectly content, I want Tali, Thane, Mordin, Jack, Samara, and Zaeed. Then I'll be happy. But after seeing some of the E3 gameplay, it seemed to me that Mordin's role has been reduced to that of Legion's. In the game but not a squad mate.
Then again, there's no way that they're going to leave you with no Krogan squadmates, that almost makes Grunt a given.
So (and this is still a prediction), Grunt, Jack, Mordin, Zaeed, Samara, Tali, Thane, Garrus, Ashley/Kaidan, Vega, Liara, and Anderson. That's 12, the same amount of people that were in ME2. But is BioWare really going to give up both Miranda and Jacob?
Urgh, I just wish they'd release a full list already. I hate predicting stuff.
Ashley's a babe now!![]()
