I've grown tired of not only the endless complaints, but the comments on the ending in general. It's a bit frustrating to think that the conclusion is damn near the only thing fans seem to be focusing on, forgetting the likely exceptional journey they'd experienced beforehand.

Either way, Ray's comments almost certainly point to DLC "rectifying" the ending. Although there were plenty of people complaining and bitching about the end, some good did come out ~ over $40 000 was raised for sick kids hospitals through the petition which I thought was great.
    bless you with this DOPE

It sucks so much that the trilogy has ended. Some of the best games I've ever played.

I just found out Buzz Aldrin did the voice for *SPOILERS AND ICE-CREAM*the old guy at the end. That's pretty cool.

Good job EA on forcing me to download the Mass Effect 3 installer off Origin, despite the fact that I have a physical copy. You'd expect the install process to be the one thing where a game could be never fundamentally broken, but I sure was proven otherwise today.

I'm nearing the end of the game on my insanity run, and it has been surprisingly easy, until now. I cannot stress enough how terribly designed the fight against Kai Leng is. Just awful.

Leng fights almost like a Phantom with diversions, and he's pretty much a pushover compared to them. He's a pretty stupid character by my book, just your average racist mercenary with a Raiden copout character design. Didn't like him in the books either.

Leng is irritating since he's immune to all of my Adept's powers, save for cluster bombs, and I mistakenly brought Liara along with me instead of another Overload-user, like Garrus. Add in the use of light weapons for a high power recharge, and I had very little in terms of effective firepower to use against him. I didn't even realize until my insanity run that I could do more to defend myself against his ridiculous 1-hit kill attack. Phantoms, on the other hand, I can kill with ease. Stasis + Warp/Throw = a deadly biotic detonation and one or more dead Phantoms. They're not as fortunate as Leng is, with his almighty plot armor.

He's a terrible character from every angle: design, plot and gameplay.

Anyway, I just finished the game on insanity, and was able to view the ending and the moments leading up to it in more detail. Analyzing the points brought up in the indoc theory, I stand by my previous statement that this ending is pretty damn good if proven true. Otherwise, I'm not sure what to think.

EA announces "Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut" which will be free DLC expanding the ending. It will arrive sometime in the summer.

    EA + FREE DLC?
Yep, definitely a sign of the apocalypse.

"Through additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes..."

Does that mean the DLC will play out entirely through cutscene, or will there be gameplay to go alongside it? Regardless, the fact that they're releasing this - and even free - is enough for me. At the very least this should shut everyone up.

    Bwah...?

Pretty much a way to fight the fire tomorrow at the PAX Q/A.

BioWare and EA are clearly serious about winning back approval after this ridiculous ending fiasco. In addition to the Extended Cut, the Resurgence Pack - a FREE multiplayer DLC pack - will release on the 10th of this month.

    - Six Powerful New Unlockable Characters: Assume the role of new characters for each class, including the Asari Justicar Adept, Krogan Battlemaster Vanguard and characters from new playable races with the Batarian Soldier, Batarian Sentinel, Geth Engineer and Geth Infiltrator.

    - Lethal New Weapons: Obliterate wave after wave of enemies by unlocking the Striker Assault Rifle, Kishock Harpoon Gun and Geth Plasma SMG.

    - New Consumables: Cash in your credits to purchase reinforcement packs that could include the following new consumables:

Strength Enhancer – Applies a melee damage boost for one mission

Targeting VI – Applies a headshot damage bonus for one mission

Stabilization Module – Stabilizes weapons while firing and moving for one mission

Shield Power Cells – Shortens the length of time shields take to begin recharging for one mission.

This is a very sizable amount of content to charge absolutely nothing for. And it's exactly what the game needs to keep players interested in the multiplayer over a the longer period of time. I myself was starting to grow weary of the same maps and characters.

EEEEEE I can't wait. A new map, finally. Can't wait to play as a Batarian.

Only...I have a feeling that playing as a Geth against the Geth will cause your teammates to accidentally shoot at you a lot.

I'm really looking forward to playing as the Asari Justicar and Geth Infiltrator. I'm not looking forward to having Krogan Vanguards charging into enemies twice as often, however.

I think it'd be really funny to also give the Krogan Vanguard Nova. A big 'ol Krogan jumping around everywhere, screaming. That'd be hilarious. But it seems that only the humans have Nova.

Personally, Batarian Sentinel is the one I'm most looking forward to. I find the Soldier class kind of boring.

But the character we need most of all is the Volus Adept.

A biotic god. Could be a bit game-breaking, don't you think?

Nah, they should replace every single character with the Volus Adept. :P

So, what is Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut about? The DLC explains the ending of the game?

Oh, also, I fucking love Garrus Vakarian.

    hi
