Honestly, I'm just peeved I didn't get the chance for a final battle against Harbinger. I didn't even hear his voice! I was hoping for a big memorable final boss battle, not a multiple choice where the result is pretty much the same.

If you ever get a chance to see the art book (should be scans online,) they have pictures of what the original final boss was supposed to be. That would have been cool, but i understand their reasoning for taking it out of the final game.

This is all dummy text to prevent spoils from invading the front page.
Your mother is a woman, and she is a lorem ipsum dolor sit amet consectetur adipiscing elit.

Anyway. Highlight for spoils, and don't quote this reply if you don't want to be spoiled.

I've read from a tabloid that apparently because the game was leaked or some shit, Bioware rushed the ending. To make up for all of that fiasco, a player speculated that they're making a DLC called "The Truth" after leaking the next Multiplayer DLC. He/she assumes that it will be the "true" ending to all of that fiasco. The choice from the assumed "hallucination" ending will still "heavily affect" the outcome of "The Truth."

It's also claimed to be free.
EA giving away free downloadable content? Pffft... RIIIIiiiIIiiIGHT

I really want to believe this is true, but I'm not the type of person who will hype over speculation.

I was really looking forward to this multiplayer event until I read that PS3 players are completely excluded. I'm really sick of this shit. PS3 just keeps getting the shaft over and over with this game.

It makes sense though, Mass Effect originally started out as an X-Box exclusive.

I just finished up on Rannoch. I'm thoroughly depressed now.

I find that reason nonsensical. It doesn't justify the odd one out thingamajig going on.
It's either Sony's policies or the difficulties of developing games on the PS3 that's causing the odd one out ordeal.

Spoils below, though you already know of this.
I'm assuming Tali committed suicide in your playthrough, or you didn't want Legion to die, or both.

Just finished the game. Everything was amazing, but the last ten minutes was pretty disappointing.

Spoilers below: Enjoy my dummy text on the main forum page. You don't want this to spoil the game for you.

Legion died in my playthrough, it was one of the most heartbreaking moment in gaming history for me. Right at the end, he said "I" instead of "we"...Powerful stuff man, powerful stuff.

More dummy text ~ cover your eyes!

[SPOILERS]There are three different outcomes, from what I've heard:
    1) You choose to save the fleet. Leegion still tries to upload the data, but you kill him in the process.
    2) You choose to save the Geth. Tali takes off her mask and jumps off the cliff, committing suicide.
    3) You come to a peaceful solution. Leegion sacrifices himself to upload the data anyways.
    [/SPOILERS]

Depressing outcomes no matter which path you choose...damn you Bioware for toying with our emotions (T_T)

Oh my god, I didn't want to believe it, but that ending was total ****. Reading all the theories in this thread seem made it better and somewhat gave me hope that Bioware are going to fix it.

But, everything leading up to the end was simply amazing. From landing on Mars to the final assault on Earth, the game was everything I expected it to be (excluding the ending). I loved seeing all my old squad mates from ME2 again, even if some of them died (Thane, Legion, Mordin ).

Text: Take your time and read through the first post. I hope it's correct, and that some DLC will sort out this mess of an ending.

Some disgruntled fans may be taking their complaints about the ending a little too far.

So I just finished the game, and obviously saw the ending. I'm still unsure of my feelings on the matter, but I'm not going to prematurely start complaining about it.

I'm currently reading through this, and I'm impressed. If this theory could actually, possibly be true, and BioWare had planned this all along, then the ending is just... utterly brilliant on an unprecedented level.

They have literally indoctrinated the players.

BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka comments on fan reaction to ME3's ending.

So, it’s incredibly painful to receive feedback from our core fans that the game’s endings were not up to their expectations. Our first instinct is to defend our work and point to the high ratings offered by critics – but out of respect to our fans, we need to accept the criticism and feedback with humility.

I believe passionately that games are an art form, and that the power of our medium flows from our audience, who are deeply involved in how the story unfolds, and who have the uncontested right to provide constructive criticism. At the same time, I also believe in and support the artistic choices made by the development team. The team and I have been thinking hard about how to best address the comments on ME3’s endings from players, while still maintaining the artistic integrity of the game.

Mass Effect 3 concludes a trilogy with so much player control and ownership of the story that it was hard for us to predict the range of emotions players would feel when they finished playing through it. The journey you undertake in Mass Effect provokes an intense range of highly personal emotions in the player; even so, the passionate reaction of some of our most loyal players to the current endings in Mass Effect 3 is something that has genuinely surprised us. This is an issue we care about deeply, and we will respond to it in a fair and timely way. We’re already working hard to do that.

I honestly feel bad for them. The game is brilliant up till the last five minutes or so, and it's not as bad as people are making it out to be, especially if the indoctrination theory is true.
