I have the same reaction to girls that are overly-happy. That refuse to see anything but the positives in a situation. It drives me crazy. It's like, can you PLEASE, just for ONCE, show some sort of emotion that doesn't make you come off so sickeningly sweet that you give me cavities? Is that so hard? Yes, that's it, see, dark cloud, that's it, show some doubt, show some worry, show some frustration... NO! Don't you DARE mention the silver lining! AAAUUUGGHHHH!!! I don't want people to be depressed all the time, but it makes them seem like they're superhuman when they NEVER show a shred of anything but a positive attitude.

Damn right, there's not a single thing about this post I don't agree with. I have no idea what mental affliction causes these girls to even THINK that talking like a 4 year old is normally acceptable, let alone attractive. They need a good smack upside the head.

Has anyone else ever cooked for a girl? I've done it... four times now, three separate girls. They LOVE it. I cannot stress that enough. I just like cooking anyway, especially experimenting with cooking and being able to involve other people, but it's a great date night, cooking for or with the girl in question. Really, cooking for girls have been the only dates I've actually enjoyed.

Yup, there's also lots of possibilities to be super flirty while doing it, too. The ladies love it.

Yep. I made pizza one time with an ex, from scratch. It was great. I made the sauce myself while she prepared the movies. Then she helped me make the dough, and we playfully threw flour at each other. Then I showed her how to press it out and we each topped our own pizzas, joking about what the other was putting on their pizza (by the end of the night, everything went on the pizza... we just tried anything we saw), and we watched movies while it cooked. It went great... the pizza was great, she was so blissfully happy, and it ended up being probably the best date night I've ever had. The only date that comes close was when I made omelets one night with another ex.

Those aren't the girls I like though. Do you know how hard it is to get a white girlfriend when you're Asian? HARD. The most variety I've had is Mexican. But still...Mexican.
I'm kidding, I don't objectify women like this in public. Pshaw.

As long as you're getting laid that is all that matters.

Betray? You dare utter the word "betray" concerning me...in my presence?

*A group of onlookers stop and with baited breath watch*

I CREATED THIS THREAD. I GAVE EVERYONE HERE AN OUTSOURCE TO PUT ALL OF THEIR PAIN AND FRUSTRATION, AND WHAT RESULTED WAS A PLACE OF BROTHERHOOD AND PEACE. How dare you...

*Mariolee paces back and forth as Hunter realizes he has made a grave mistake*

    ...HOW DARE YOU!?

*Mariolee runs up and stabs Hunter right below the stomach*
*Mariolee then whispers into his ear*

I loved you. Like a brother. I'm sorry it had to end this way.

*Mariolee pulls back the knife as Hunter falls to the ground, squirming in pain.*

    Take him away...

I guess that's where I have one benefit. Everyone in my family cooks fairly well. My parents owned a restaurant for like 15 years, my uncle is the closest you can come to be an experimental chef in this area, and my great-grandmother would still cook every day if we weren't afraid she would burn herself. One of my future goals (once I graduate, get a job, move out, etc) is to grow my own culinary garden. It's a lot of fun, at least for me. Plus, knowing someone is enjoying your food is a great feeling.

Haha, maybe you should be a chef instead of a teacher.

Lol, Koops man! You sound like you have fun. I think you're thinking too hard and worrying too much about things that aren't worth worrying about. From all the last posts I read from you, life sounds awesome. Just relax!

I wish I could cook ... The only thing I can do is popcorn .. but I manage to burn it every once in a while.

I've seriously considered it several times, but given the economy and my own lack of business experience and credit, it would be a bad idea to start anything right now. Maybe later, once I've established myself in my career and have some funds set aside. But I really would love to do it during the summer.

Honestly, I'm not worrying as much about getting a girlfriend as I normally do. There are a few girls I'm interested in, but for the most part I've finally realized that I'm just not in a place in my life right now that allows me to date anyone, regardless of how great they may or may not be. So I'm not really TRYING to date anyone. In fact, I'm doing my best to force myself to NOT date anyone, because I know it will only end poorly given my life right now. I have a year left in college, and after that I have no idea where I will be or who I will be with. Starting any sort of relationship with an intention of commitment seems like a bad idea.

The main thing is, for the first time in my life I have a fairly good understanding of what it is I want from a relationship. I know what attracts me, I know what I enjoy, I know what I don't enjoy, and I know the type of connection I need to have with someone in order to obtain that. And I think I'm finally on the verge of being at a point in my life where I CAN be happy without a relationship. I've been single for a year and a half now, and I've enjoyed being myself, away from the stress and drama of relationships. I enjoy being able to just relax, without worrying about what a girl thinks of me. And I'm slowly working on doing things that I enjoy... not because other people want me to enjoy them, but because I enjoy doing them. I'm slowly untying the knot others have left me in, and finding out where the rope trail leads me.
