I really like the idea. I myself have been interested in doing a design for a game starring the BOO ghost. I think there could be a little more excitment on the cover, something more than just the character floating there. I say to keep experimenting and see where it takes you.
Also, thanks for posting to the forums first.

Cool idea, and from the looks of it the design is too. Could you upload a larger version of the image? It'd be easier to critique and give advice.
