    Default Tmrd - Octoberfest - Luigi's Mansion - Fear

Hey Guys! This is my WiP for the Octoberfest comp held by Koopa... I am doing Luigi's mansion trying to capture fear.
Yes, this is a custom box, but I am trying to make the renders etc look as 3d as possible.
The plan is that I am going to have the paintings on either side ghosts that are staring at him... On the ground is going to be something luigi is screaming at, maybe those little mice ghosts. What do you think so far?

I really like this so far. The ghosts should work very well. The only thing I don't really like is the logo, it doesn't seem to fit in with the style of the rest of the box. Great idea for the comp, I've been thinking of ideas for the past 2 hours -_-

    YOU'RE FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!

    I did the same game....

Box is coming good though, but the red logo looks weird. And luigi looks like he's just stretching and jawning at the same time xP or is he supposed to be in the wall because there's a ghost in front of him?

I agree with Phoenix about the logo, but the art looks great. I would have thought it was a real render at this smaller view.

Is it the colour of the logo that is wrong, or should I design and create a custom logo?

The color. Try to make it like a brownish color so it matches the background

Luigi's hands look kind of weird, I think.

I had an update. Then... F**K. The file completely corrupted which means I have to start again from scratch which means there is no way in hell I am gonna finish this in time.

You might want to seriously consider doing something with official art, simply for time purposes. Although, you do have until 11:59 pm Sunday night to submit.

I appreciate the thought Koops, but it turns out that just retracing is much quicker than making everything from scratch, so I am back on track, luckily. Also, knowing me, it would take longer to get a new idea than to finish the box, lol.

I don't know the rules of the Octoberfest, but I think this box would truly benefit with darker grimmer colors.

dont get me wrong, i can see the effort you put into the render, but the artwork does not look good on a box. I think it would work alot better with official renders

I tried to take everything and make it better Here is an update

Spypilot, the only reason this is custom, have you actually seen the resources for this game? Theres hardly anything, only one full-body luigi render... Thats why.

Everything looks too clean, some really good textures would help. Maybe go for a bluish tone.

The picture next to Luigi honestly looks bad. I know the emotion is supposed to be fear, but to me it looks more like you are trying to make us laugh. But other than the picture it looks good so far.

The art looks fantastic, and the box looks pretty good so far. Though i think you should leave the logo at its normal, ghosty-blue color. And I dont really like the ghost in the picture, maybe you should just stick with a scary looking Boo

Try to make the logo just white, and remove the glow, I think that will look better.

After finishing my Coraline Box, I rediscovered this and thought I would continue it. Here's what I've got so far, I think after 2 years I've finally finished the front, ahah!
