The uniform color droplets and swirls of paint...ugh.

This is beyond my skill level. I'll let someone else take over.

Well you could always come back to it, if you wanted. You have several other great WiPs going.

In any case, I was just airing my views on the box art. It is entirely up to your discretion to post it or not. Some posts above seem to like it.

So, I've my GTA Warhol WIP and my old ones from the first page still hanging around, and the SMG is kinda...buried for now, so I've got a little time to mess around a bit.

It looks like iamamiwhoami = Jonna Lee, and her album name will be Bounty. So. Here we are. I've done this in a similar style to her single covers. It's still a WIP. I dunno, I've been a little bored, did this thing. Hope it doesn't suck.

Edit: Does anyone have any idea who or what I'm talking about?

I'm not really sure what you're talking about with this one. It does look good, but what's it about again?

Yeah, I worried about that. Have you heard at all about iamamiwhoami? Last year, someone started posting these weird, professionally-made videos on YouTube. Now things are kinda coming to a head. It's a pretty big viral thing. I hope I'm not the only one that's a fan here...

Okay, whatever, I'm gonna do a Radiohead collection. All the covers should represent the albums well, but should all follow the same basic feel/look/theme/whatever. However, I need help, and I'd like to make this collaborative. Any ideas/takers?

Oh no I'm not familiar with that viral video thing, I'm sure others here are though. And it does look good, i would like to see you continue that. But a radiohead collection would be great too. I would love to make that a collab but I just started one with Rossagues.

Usually, I would bite someone of your's skills hand off, in this situation after an off like that, but I'm gonna sadly decline. Got a bit too much going on at the moment.

It sucks, Radiohead are by far my favourite band.

I don't thinkt they have to look like each other but they all should have the same Radiohead-feel, if you know what I mean.

Well, I'm just saying that it'd be nice to have an over-arching feel, like you would in a special entire catalog collection. I mean, yeah, they should all feel like the album and the band, but there would be a unifying logic that ties all the covers together. Know what I mean?

So, with all this talk about Essence and the purpose of boxes and stuff, I realized that the reason I started making boxarts was to replace the standard ones I have. I picked out three games earlier today, and I've been working on one today. When all three are done, I'll print out all the ones I've made so far, even if I have some still in development. So, here's Trauma Center: Second Opinion for the Wii.

It's not as artistic as my other boxes, since I didn't know how to make it artistic. So I made it simple. As a WIP, I'm hoping for any comments about how I could make it better.

Soooooo, how can I make it better?

Edit: looks compressed because it is, put it in JPEG to upload faster.

I like it, but I think something should be in the upper corners, even if it is small. Just to somewhat fill in the space. But I would probably like it either way, and I don't know what you would put there.

Hmm. I could do something kinda different and put the developer logos up there...

I really like that, but the characters look kinda pixelated. Is that just because of the upload?

I don't like the harsh white lines from where the hexagon pattern overlaps the black border of the red cross. I think you should try toning down the opacity of those hard white lines so they blend in better with the rest of the pattern.

That's the stroke of the cross. And that's how I got the effect at the bottom of the cross, which I like. If there's a way I can keep that effect while removing the rest of the stroke, or making the rest more transparent while keeping that part intact, please tell me.
