London (9th June 2010) – Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX interactive entertainment products in Europe and other PAL territories, announced today its expansive line-up of games for the 2010 E3 Expo, taking place in Los Angeles from June 15-17. Continuing to diversify its global offerings to meet the needs of consumers worldwide, Square Enix will be showcasing the widest range of games in its history.

Headlining this year’s booth will be four of the hottest franchises in the industry from both the SQUARE ENIX and EIDOS brands. Under SQUARE ENIX, the company delivers the highly anticipated MMORPG experience FINAL FANTASY XIV, the next instalment in the iconic franchise that has sold more than 97 million units worldwide. For handheld platforms are The 3rd Birthday and KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep for the PSP (PlayStation Portable) system, a prequel that will unlock the secrets to the beloved franchise, as well as KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded and FINAL FANTASY: THE 4 HEROES OF LIGHT for Nintendo DS, a charming new adventure by the creators of the FINAL FANTASY III and IV remakes. Huh... I didn't think they'd show much of KH: Birth by Sleep seeing as it's already finished, and was released in Japan months ago. All they really have to do now is translate it. I guess it would be nice to see some English footage, though.

I was hoping for a brand new title, too. (Re:Coded is a port) But whatever. That's good enough.

Impressive lineup, Square should be great this year. Basically what I'm interested in:

Dungeon Siege 3 - Played the first one like mad when I was a bit younger, though never really got into the second one for some reason.
Deus Ex - Shouldn't have to explain why, it is Deus Ex after all. Cannot wait for more info, and that CG trailer a while back got me really excited.
Final Fantasy 4HoL - The story sounds pretty basic and predictable from what I've heard, but I'm a hardcore FF fan and I'm curious to see more of the combat system. Plus I love the art/graphics style they have going with it.
Kingdom Hearts - While I've sadly only ever played through the first game quite a while ago, I'm still interested in the series. And some sort of HD Collection similar to God of War would be awesome, but pretty doubtful.
Necromachina - Just saw the new trailer for this, looks pretty cool to me.
FF13 Versus & Agito - Seriously, I need something here. It's been too damn long, I need some gameplay footage. Please.
Final Fantasy XIII-2 - This is just wishful dreaming on my part, but I'd be so happy if it happened.

Nothing at all by Square interests me this gen (or last) except the new Deus Ex which isn't even really their title. They are supposedly doing a lot for the story and cut scenes which hopefully pays off.

Yup, I think even those who don't like Square can agree that they really know how to make quality CG cut scenes. The cinematics in XIII are gorgeous, the same with the Deus Ex trailer.

The only game on that list that i'm interested in is Deus Ex. After reading this, http://pc.ign.com/articles/109/1096065p1.html, it's easily one of my most anticipated games. It sounds like the devs heard the complaints about the second game and are going back to to what made the original so revolutionary at the time.
