I don't get why almost no one in this world ever wants to learn. They just want to defend, in some form. Honestly, did you even bother to read what I said? Sorry, I know it was a bit harsh, but if you read it, did you even bother to understand the truth (however much there may be) in it? I hate it when people think criticism is a fight (I'm criticizing your mindset, btw).

Do you not agree that if you judge a person in the long run by their skills today, it'll be judgement that only brings problems and falsities? Do you or do you not agree? Im really hopeful that you'll atleast answer this simple question instead of talking about something else.

If you do agree (Which I'm sure everyone will. One obviously gets better with more and more practice, and helpful comments rather than demeaning ones help), then you'll change. It's for the better. Not just in this, but for everything in life, actually. An open mind is everything in this world.

Btw, it seems more like your trying to be cool by acting like Simon Cowell.

EDIT: I know you might think 'Who is he to tell me what to do?', but understand that I obviously rather go on with my life and enjoy. But I'm not that selfish. In the end, its your choice, of course.

It wasn't harsh, it was your opinion. I accept that and I thank you for making those comments. I didn't really have anything I need to say in response to your original post, so I didn't.

I admit, the comment about there "bright futures" was a bit over board. I just felt that they are basic skills that need to be learnt before you even bother attempting to make a box art.

If I wanted to be seen as cool, I wouldn't try to rein act the ways of one of the most hated men in Britain.
So yeah. I have my opinions, you have yours. You may have changed the way I'm thinking of reviewing box art in future, but next time, I'd definitely prefer it if you didn't try to rubbish any sort of opinion I may have. If I think it helps (only when taken on the chin) then you must respect that, like I have respected your approach to advice.

The Box is boring and uninteresting.

Oh, I forgot to give my input lol.

Yeah, the box is boring. I suggest you don't blend real-life with 2D. The design isnt too bad though. If your going for this idea, I agree with what Jbone said about the darker images and stuff.

Will this hurt my chances at getting a good collab partner? Yeah. Will this hurt my chances at becoming a popular member of VGBA? Yeah. But that's something I have to deal with on the majority of sites I go to.

And seriously, I'm not a bad guy like you may be thinking right now. I'm a pretty good guy, but I AM direct and I AM bold in what I do. This often dents people's opinions of me.

And now I will just sit back and watch all my hopes of doing anything great on this site wash away, because of bad first impressions... again.
Quite a few members here are "bold" as you say on the forums, and offering constructive critique is very important here. There is a difference between stating an opinion and being an abrasive bully however. I by no means think your a bad guy per say, but I hope you'll be a little less aggressive with your critiques in the future.

Because I'm a person who doesn't believe in fighting, I only offer this as my statement.

I am genuine in my critique, and I'm sure a lot of people on this site notice that. I comment rarely on boxes, and few times have I said (in the time that I've been back) "this box is terrible" without explanation.

Yes, I am a contrary person, because I always look at the GOOD in people. Unfortunately, a majority of human beings exist to bring people down to bring people up. I'm not like that. Therefore, I always appear to be the "odd one out", for a good cause.

You WILL be judged on this site according to your attitude. We don't care for your personal life, because you can't say one thing and do another.

Wow...All of this is just so sad...I post a simple box art, and the discussion which I meant to have compliments (although I must admit, I was not expecting much) and constructive criticism, but it turns into people debating about how bold people are with constructive criticism, how controversial people's comments are, and god only knows what else. I honestly don't even know how to describe what you are talking about. Do you think I wanted it to go down the sh*tter like this? No. And calling someone's idea dumb is something I take as a direct insult. Maybe I over reacted a little. Who cares. It's not worth writing an essay about. The whole thing is just sad.
