Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - 8/10
Positives:
+ Combat is enjoyable, the acrobatic style moves of the original trilogy is a relief to see after the horrific combat of the Price of Persia reboot thing in 2008.
+ Upgrading abilities and base stats with experience is pretty cool, not much variety in the options though.
+ Platforming is still the primary focus of the game, and it's done exceptionally well. The game gets really fun towards the end of the game, when you have several different abilities needed to be used at specific times, as you run across walls, water, and rewind time when you screw up.
+ The final chapter, especially right before the final boss, is pretty damn cool.
+ Story's enjoyable, and the voice acting is decent even if the writing itself isn't the best.
Negatives:
- Graphics are decent, but the Prince looks freaking ugly.
- Characters are sadly forgettable, and I'm pretty sure there were only 2 in the entire game (other than the Prince).
- Combat can be fun, but for the most part is pitifully easy. I played on Normal (the hardest?) and seriously did not die in a fight for the entirety of the game.
- So very, very short. Even shorter than Transformers.
If you want to play this game, I highly recommend renting it.
