I'm the only one who seems to like using this thread. :P

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - 8/10

    Positives:
+ Combat is enjoyable, the acrobatic style moves of the original trilogy is a relief to see after the horrific combat of the Price of Persia reboot thing in 2008.
+ Upgrading abilities and base stats with experience is pretty cool, not much variety in the options though.
+ Platforming is still the primary focus of the game, and it's done exceptionally well. The game gets really fun towards the end of the game, when you have several different abilities needed to be used at specific times, as you run across walls, water, and rewind time when you screw up.
+ The final chapter, especially right before the final boss, is pretty damn cool.
+ Story's enjoyable, and the voice acting is decent even if the writing itself isn't the best.

    Negatives:
    - Graphics are decent, but the Prince looks freaking ugly.
    - Characters are sadly forgettable, and I'm pretty sure there were only 2 in the entire game (other than the Prince).
    - Combat can be fun, but for the most part is pitifully easy. I played on Normal (the hardest?) and seriously did not die in a fight for the entirety of the game.
    - So very, very short. Even shorter than Transformers.

If you want to play this game, I highly recommend renting it.

New Super Mario Bros Wii- 9001/10

    It's that epic.

Anyway, my friend lent me this game and he said I'd probably beat it by that day's night. (Sunday July 04) Well, it's Sunday July 11 and I just got to world 8. And it's one hell of a trip. Amazing game, I love the elements of Super Mario Bros of days past. Love it.

    Enchanted Arms - PS3 - Rented - 7/10

This is a fun quirky game. Its your basic Japanese RPG with several new additions. The battle system is where you see the majority of this. Per usual you choice you character and then chose the attack, what is different is the fact that you don't select an enemy. You have a game board that you can move around. When you select your attack it shows what tiles that it will effect, so you may hurt one or more enemies, or even none. The story is odd but a bit generic. The characters are your average cast. You have a slacker, and a no it all in the beginning. But in addition to that group in the beginning you have an openly gay character who is love with the no it all. That took the most getting used to in my mind, I had never seen a gay character in a game. Well one that is openly gay. The one other thing that is pretty interesting about the game is the fact that you have golems. They are magic creatures that you can use during battles. They are the exact same thing as a normal character except they don't have anything to do with the story and that there is 150 of them to chose from. If you are a fan of RPGs I recommend this game. It is for the PS3 as well as the 360.

Finally got around to beating this, awesome game.

    Valkyria Chronicles - 9.4/10

    Positives:
+ Excellent blend of turn-based strategy and 3rd-person shooting. Even though you manually control the characters and aim, there's still plenty of strategic thinking involved, and the wrong move could end the match badly, I love that.
+ Gorgeous visuals, especially the (sadly short) cinematics. Looks like a watercolor painting, seriously beautiful at times.
+ Simple, story that's easy to get into, and pretty enjoyable. Some pretty likable characters too, and the ending was nice.
+ Some light RPG elements are great, like purchasing/upgrading new weaponry/equipment for each class of soldier. As well as gaining experience from fights to level up classes and gain 'potentials'.
+ Skirmishes, collectible medals, and a New Game+ (I think, haven't tried) add to the replay value.
+ Simply put, one of the most enjoyable games I've played on the PS3.

    Negatives:
    - Very limited number of objects you can actually crouch behind for cover (sandbags, trenches).
    - The game does have a fair share of cheesy dialogue and voice acting. I personally don't mind much but I'm sure others are put off by it.
    - Some of the characters were a bit underdeveloped.

Just thought I'd share my thoughts on it, I recommend to anyone that likes RPGs or strategy games.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

    + Platforming is incredible
+ New elemental powers are cool
    + Combat is fun
    + Wide range of upgrades
    + Some very challenging puzzles

    - While fun, combat is far too easy
    - Little to no story
    - Not enough variety in creatures
    - Game is pretty short
    - No replay value

    Overall: 8.5/10

I honestly didn't understand the hate...yes, there were some flaws, but none of them were game-breaking in the least. This is definitely a rent---unless you'd feel like paying full price to buy a game you'll only play once. I'd recommend this game to all PoP fans, and to anyone that likes action/platforming games in general.

And just a note: If you're a trophy/achievement whore, then this game is a very easy Platinum/1000G. The achievements are all pretty varied, but are extremely easy. I got my 1000G within about 10 hours of play time.

    Dirt 2

+Incredible graphics, better than the first dirt.
+Freaking awesome gameplay, now is hard keep the car in the road when you are running at +160 km/h.
+The game have more or less 6 dificulties, which make you increase them to earn more cash but with less flashbacks.
+New menu interfaces are outsdanding now, the first Dirt has ugly menus.

-The game could have more cars and give the option to change them heavily,
    like NFS pro street.

    Overall, wonderful job by Codemasters:
    9,5

    Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer

    +Great customization options
    +Easy to get into
    +Addicting
-The online community and nerfed weapons has ruined it. (Ex. I was playing today, I shoot a guy right next to me at least four times with a Barret 50, crosshairs DIRECTLY on him, miss all shots, get killed by models, and later direct impact noob tubes.)

5/10, used to be over a 9.5 for me, now it's really awful.

Intervention is my favorite rifle, preferably with a supressor added.

Intervention with a silencer is pretty much a two shot kill no matter what.
I don't care about the difference between Intervention and Barret. i usually use a Barret at the speed of an Intervention, but I was just sick of hearing the Intervention so I switched.

The Barret has more ammo which is never a bad thing. Do you have Call Of Duty World at War?

    Bayonetta (360)

+ The graphics. Really beautiful and flashy.
+ Soundtrack. Really catchy jazz tunes for small battles and epic orchestral tracks for the bosses. Fly Me to the Moon.
+ Controls. If you get your ass handed to you, it is entirely your own fault.
+ The flow in combat. In nearly all battles, you can take out all of the enemies without breaking out of a combo. Even if an enemy is far away, there are multiple ways to quickly zero in.
+ Enemies very seldom attack from off-screen. This is a huge issue I've had with Ninja Gaiden and DMC.

    - Occasional frametearing (when not in combat) and slowdowns (when in combat)
    - The motorcycle and shmup levels. Too easy, too long and too boring.
    - The villain is a little lacking.
    - Cutscene Quick Time Events lead to more deaths than the actual enemies

    I'd give it a 9/10

    The Wheelman

    8/10

Action-packed, demolition Grand-Theft-Auto esque car chases...basically "Fast and the Furious: The Game".

    + Decent graphics
+ Wide array of cars, trucks, and bikes
    + Huge destructable city

    - God-awful voice acting
    - The guy looks like Vin Deisel
    - Terrible gun controls

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of The Earth (PC)

Excellent and challenging first-person survival horror. Ties in very well with the Cthulhu mythos.

    + Genuinely creepy atmosphere
    + Engaging story
    + Eternal Darkness meets Half-Life

    - Buggy at times
    - A few unclear tasks
    - Enemy AI can be a bit hit and miss
