I can sort of relate, as Alex seems like a super-ultra-extreme version of some of the anger issues I have dealt with in the past, and the technique represents medication to suppress the anger, and once you revert back to your normal state, the medication has worn off, and it is time for another dose. However that is just my interpretation of the film.

I have seen The Shining, which is also a classic in my eyes, however it has been a long time since I have seen the film, and I do plan on watching it again soon. I have read the novel it is based on, but again, it was such a long time ago. As said about the movie, I do plan on reading the book again, either when my local library gets it in again, or by buying it myself.
Well that's interesting. My views on it are very much in unison with Roger Ebert's review.

Kubrick has done some magical stuff. I don't know how interested you are in films but if you are Dr Strangelove and 2001 are essential viewing. Dr Strangelove is possibly the best satire ever made, it's seriously hilarious, Sterling Hayden and Peter Sellers are both geniuses. 2001 is mindblowing for it's effects, even today, and for it's distinct messages. It speaks to most people in different ways, and some don't like it but you should definitely watch it. It's a spectacular film.

Most Kubrick is good value, Full Metal Jacket and Paths of Glory are equally good but very contrasting war films. Spartacus is an excellent roman epic. I haven't had the good fortune to have seen his others but I can't wait to see The Killing, Barry Lyndon and The Shining.

    Tangled

It's a cutesy movie, but a damn good one. The high budget productions really show in the animation, and the backdrops are some of the most in-depth scenes I've seen in an animated movie.

@Coolguy I'm a big Kubrick fan, and if you haven't seen the Shining or Killing, you're in for a real treal.

As for the last movie I saw, I've seen several recentley:

-Paul -Love Pegg, Frost, Rogen and Matolla. Love this movie. Enough said.
-Source Code -I loved 2009's Moon, so when I found out Duncan Jones was also directing this, I just had to see it. I wasn't let down. It was a very smart thriller with good dialouge and excellent twists. Right up there with Moon in terms of quality.
-Salt- Pretty much everything that Source Code wasn't, namely: dumb, predictible, and shallow. Still, it had some decent action and Jolie was pretty good. I wouldn't recomend it unless you really like Jolie, or just want to see dumb action.

    Now for some obscure stuff:

-Divine Trash: A decentley made documentary about John Water's film career. Technically speaking, it wasnt a well shot doc, but it had alot of interesting info, and some great interviews. If you like John Waters, I'd recomend giving this a watch.
-A Dirty Shame: While far from John Waters' best film, it was still enjoyable, and it marks a return to form for his films (nc-17, controversial, offensive). Again, if you like Waters, there are far worse ways to spend a couple hours.
-A Twist of Faith: Excelent documentary about sexual abuse in the Catholic Church. Very emotionaly raw and moving, and thus very difficult to watch in certian parts. Not for the faint of heart, but a great film none the less.

Next on my list of movies to watch are: True Girt (the original), Tootsie, Some Like it Hot, and possibly Your Highness next week

I saw that too. I thought it was going to be terrible but turned out to be a pretty kick ass movie.

Last Movie I saw: Exam. Its about 8 people who are competing for a single job and now they are at the last stage of the process. They are in one room. They have to answer one question, but the problem is, they first have to figure out what the question is.

Rating: I love puzzle movies and shit that messes with the mind so I will give it a 9/10 for its amazing uniqueness. YOU ALL MUST WATCH THIS MOVIE!

    Tron Legacy - 8.5/10

I thought it was gonna suck but it was really good. Some things that bothered me was the CGI on the younger Jeff Bridges. I know they tried to make him look as real as possible, but it didnt work at all. You could tell he was fake all the way through. Another thing was that the camera cut to Olivia Wilde every 10 seconds just to show her standing there or sitting there. It made no sense. The last thing I didnt like was the ending. It was kind of weak.

Other than that it was a great movie. The action was great, the animation for the Digital world was good. I thought that Jeff Bridges was Tron but he wasn't. I love that they put Tron in the movie and it didn't really focus on him. It's cool to just see Tron.

I was quite bored by it. Everything was trying to be character driven, yet we didn't have enough to actually feel for any character. It was forced. Good ride however, some things really made me excited.

    Primer - 9/10

I would give it a 10/10 if I knew what the fuck was happening.

No, seriously, throughout 75 percent of the movie I had no idea what was going on.

Better than pile of dung that was Shrek the Third, but still sucked pretty bad.

    4/10

    Watching Despicable Me next.

    I actually like 3...
    For me it's like : Shrek > Shrek 3 > Shrek 2 > Shrek: Forever After
Maybe swap 2 and forever after... they were all pretty good, as far as I can remember.

    Insidious - 9/10

Now i've just about every horror movie out there but Insidious tops the cake for being the scariest thing I ever watched. I mean i went into the theater thinking "A PG-13 scary movie, can't be that scary at all" boy was I mistaken. The scares in that movie arn't like "pop out of the corner" scares. They are scares that get built up and then BAM it happens! The music (akin to The Omen) really helped build the atmosphere up. The beginning and middle of the movie were its strong points. The end was a little corny for my taste and lost its scares. The plot was a little weak and seemed a little rushed at some points but it worked. The acting was pretty good from everyone but the girl who played the Mom. She seemed liked she wasn't there. But all in all it was a great movie! Defiantly go see it if you can!
