Holy shit. I know I don't talk about it much here, but besides Batman, Spider-Man is definitely my favorite superhero. i was thrilled to see such a fantastic film made for him. What can I say that hasn't been said? All I can add is that I hope to see a sequel, maybe doing a more faithful interpretation of Venom, as well as Andrew in The 2nd Avengers (Alongside Hugh Jackman, eh?) That'd be pretty cool.
The sequel already has a release date, May 2nd, 2014.

Sequel is being written by the people that wrote the new Star Trek movies.

Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, they also wrote the first Transformers and co-wrote the second.

Anyways I saw the new Spidey yesterday and loved it. Not gonna talk about it as i'll just go on and on. But I think everyone should go watch it, I'll probably be seeing it a second time as well. Personally found it more satisfying than The Avengers, but that may just be because Spider-Man has always been my favorite superhero.

Here's a drawing I did after I saw the film, didnt quite get Emma Stone's likeness but oh well.

    You're pretty legit.
You should really try and illustrate, like as a job. Who knows, could work out.

Your not the only one, Goku. I liked The Amazing Spider-Man more than The Avengers. It actually had a better storyline and the direction was better.

    The Amazing Spider-Man - 8/10

Not my favorite Spider-Man movie, it's probably tied with number 1. I like it better than 3 atleast, but 2 still beats it. Some parts of the film bored me, but it was a really good movie, and I loved the way Spider-Man was portrayed.

How funny is it you ask? Just this one 30 second clip had the entire audience laughing for 2 minutes straight. No exageration:

Also, Flash Gordon is in this movie. Flash. Fucking. Gordon.
I'm sorry... I guess it takes a particular type of sense of humor to like that type of movie... but watching that clip made me want to vomit. I can't believe people actually find Seth McFarlane's humor to be funny. Of all the immature, idiotic, pandering things to say in a movie. How is that even funny? So he used a few cuss words, particularly taboo words, and they're coming from a teddy bear. That doesn't make it funny. It makes it ridiculously stupid. The existence of this movie makes me weep for humanity.

Right on, the movie looks very gimmicky and just a shitty movie in general.

Just saw The Amazing Spiderman, and I was not dissapointed.
It was just as jevangod had said up in an earlier post. The characters were more of the focus than most of the action, etc. my only issue with it is the ending, which was pretty eh. But otherwise it was great, a solid 9.5/10.

Oh, and it was in 3D.

    That was painfully unfunny

I thought it was funny. Not 2 minutes of cracking up, but it still made me laugh.

    The Amazing Spider-Man - ?/10

I honestly have no idea what to think of this movie. Some parts I absolutely loved (Peter Parker). Some parts made me cringe (The Lizard). I really liked Garfield's performance and take on Spider-Man. Much better than Maguire's in my opinion. And I also enjoyed them delving in deeper to what happened to Peter's parents. What I really didn't like was the whole Lizard plot. I really felt at the beginning that they were trying to take on a more realistic approach to Spider-Man but then when we got to the actual Lizard I felt like this was the plot for a Spider-Man cartoon i.e. the gas turning people into lizards. Which don't get me wrong, that was still enjoyable. I love campy movies along with realistic ones. I think the thing that irritated me most was that the filmmakers weren't consistent. If you want to make a realistic Spider-Man than be realistic throughout the movie. If you want to have a light-hearted action packed blockbuster then be like that through the whole movie. And I also hate it when movies try to be scientific and explain certain things and then it scientifically makes no sense. Again with the fact of realism vs fantasy. If we are going for a realistic movie then technically it can take months for lizards to regenerate limbs, but if we are going for a fantasy movie then I say leave the explanation for how everything works up to my imagination. I'll just accept it and not be thinking, "That's really not how it works" throughout parts of the movie :P

Overall though it was a great movie and I really enjoyed it. It's a great start to the new franchise.

Yea, Ted looks pretty descent at the most. I love Seth McFarlane to tell you the truth. He's a funny guy. Its mostly just the writers on Family Guy don't really have many good jokes anymore. But Family Guy is better than the current version of South Park. That show lost all of its flavor.

Agreed. I honestly want my 30 seconds back. McFarlane is just an unfunny, bigoted Twat. I mean. Teddy comes to life and is a stoner. I swear that has been done so many times before. Anyway, I'm waiting to see the Book of Mormon Movie. Haer it's out next year or the year after.

Hey, he's funny. It just seems that this movie just isn't that funny. Due to him having two other guys from Family Guy helping him out. Their jokes are usually a hit or miss. Yes, the plot has been done many times, but alot of movies out now have had the plot done before them.

I've never really found him funny. Especially in interviews. He just acts high and mighty and so stuck up.

Yeah, I kind of agree. I think you might be over-reacting a bit, Koopa.
