Kinda looks like they are standing the landing dock of some spaceship without helmets or something. It's kinda me, prefer the PAL version.

I chuckled a bit at first, but it reminds me a lot of some 90's anime character style so I like it. I could do without the epic cinematic feel of the PAL design.

I like this way more, anime art > CGI any day. I also thinks that the colors are way better on this one.

I really prefer it be one or the other, i don't like it when they are mixed (ie. the anime portaits and boxart for one) i know you can change the portaits from anime to CG though in this version.
