Help using Gimp

hi i am new to this site and i was referred to using the GIMP software program which i have downloaded succesfully.

but i have tried to create a smackdown vs raw 2010 cover and all i end up getting is a problematic cover, where the wrestlers are see through and the svr2010 logo is also, along with the thq logo at the bottom right.

if you guys could help me figure out this problem i would appreciate it because as you can see, if i could get them to stop going seethrough then the box would be good.

i have attached the image of the unfinished box.
along with 2 other pics of what i used, if you have gimp you can use the 2 pics to see the problem.

Render the images using the magic wand, with feather set to 5. Don't lower the opacity. If you have trouble rendering try Planet Renders, also please don't make a wrestling box we have enough.
