Default New Drakxxx box - ATTN: Stephen King Fans

    Hey guys,

I might have mentioned to a few of you guys about my Horror Writers Collection. These are basically stand alone video game ideas, that incorporate popular works of some of my favorite horror writers into a video game idea. I have one on my page so far, for Mr. H.P. Lovecraft that you can check out here in case you missed it:

I'd like to start work on my next design in this personal game series of mine, which I've decided will be based around the stories of Stephen King, and have it ready for October, in time for Halloween. I started this thread as a place I can preview the original drawings I create for this box design as I make them, and also to get suggestions and input from guys on a couple of things involving the Stephen King game and design.

First off, much like the idea / design I did for Lovecraft, I plan have the game be based around 5 separate Stephen King stories. The stories involved are going to determine what custom art I do for the cover, back, and any other bonus items I might create to include with the design presentation. The only exclusions would be stories by Mr. King that are not totally indicative of the horror genre, (IE: The Green Mile, Stand By Me, Hearts in Atlantis), and the very elaborate Dark Tower series, as I think it wouldn't be believable to have such a massive story that could easily be it's own game as one of the 5 featured for this idea I'm putting together. Short stories, and stand alone stories regardless of length would be the best.

Second, I need to come up with a name for the collective concept. I called the Lovecraft inspired game "Grand Asylum: The Chronicles of Cthulhu", so I'd be interested in hearing you ideas for the similar idea based around the works of Mr. King.

Finally, I plan on giving credit to the community entirely when the design is completed and posted, as well as all the individual artists who shoot me any ideas I decide to use.

Sorry for the TLDR disclaimer on this one.

Heres a short re-cap that will basically serve the same purpouse:

Drakxxx's Horror Writers Collection Vol. 2 "Stephen King"

1: The stories included will dictate what custom artwork I draw for the design. What Stephen King stories (excluding non horror themed ones, and the Dark Tower series) would you like to see involved in the design?

2: Please shoot me you ideas for a title for the game idea. Can be anything that cleverly presents a collected body of the writer's work.

Guys, thanks so much in advance for your input on this, and as I mentioned, I'll be posted the artwork in o progress once we decide on the what stories to include.

    ~Your pal Drakxxx / Joel

Awesome idea Al, but Stephen King didn't write the ring to my knowledge. King has written so much stuff for books, screenplays, and magazines, that I mistakenly credit him for a bunch of stuff that I find out he didn't in fact write.

Here's the wiklipedia link to King's bibliography if anyone wants to take a peek:

Yeah, The Shining would be awesome.

I think "It" would be really cool as well.
There's a couple more that keep coming to mind, but I'd really love to get
the right combination of stories to work with. I'd really like to include a King story that would be seem next to impossible to turn into a cohesive video game idea.
