I think it'd be better if it were a spinoff/prequel/midquel or something for PSP and let the full-blown sequel be on PS3 as it should be. After all, sequels to console games are almost NEVER exclusive to handhelds, I mean, that's preposterous.

I think it will work very well. The game doesn't use a whole lot of shoulder button commands, and since you can't move while shooting you'll be able to aim with the left stick.

I saw the news last night and already posted on the convo thread. I absolutely love the first game so I'm a tad disappointed that I wouldn't be able to play it on my big screen (it's a beautiful game).

I'm still excited about it though and will be getting it for sure. Though I agree with Greg that it would probably have been better as a spin-off...handhelds are VERY popular in Japan.

@HalfSwiss: Playing just the demo is not a very accurate way of judging a game - unless you have it ofcourse and you're just not a big fan of strategy/action rpgs.

Actually the demo was the only thing I played and I hated it.

I'm not the biggest strategy person, except for maybe a few games, anyway. And I just found the gameplay even too slow-paced, even for a strategy game.
My dad bought the game and he loves strategies, and he didn't like it.
