I'm new in here. And i was wondering- whots the point of making these art works? Meaby it's stupid question, but please explain for me

yeah, like all forums, you get to know each other, make friends, and have fun. most forums you just talk and do nothing really. but here you have fun making art and get advice from others, and hey, who knows, but if your THAT good, then maybe you could get a job at this kinda thing or something...? Well i'm here because i want to develop 3D stuff when i'm older so i use this site as a good practice and also as some kidn of headquarters.

There is no point, and that's what makes the site so special

But along with having a good time, I plan to make video games later in life, i plan to do the artistic side of games since I'm better at that kind of stuff.

at the first I wanted to be a games developer, but I dont knew c++ language and programming is not my best side. And I dont have a talent to make 3d models in 3dmax so- I dont know whot to do. :/

Meaby some advices?

I know how to 3D model. It's great fun once you learn the basics. There's a program called Blender, it's a free modeling program, it's cool.

Anyways, i'm not the best at the different computer languages either. =/
And starring at:
H:t/=_code: red."to."green[fall-back]
all day doesn't fit my style.

Point iz we make phat boxes to earn respect of the Vgboxart posse, if you make a shit box, you get shot down and you have to earn the respect again of the
homies here, so earn as much as a rep as you can and you maybe seen as an offic Vgboxart gangster like Wickedgamer1 and Hellknight.
If you start stirring up trouble, we contact the boss Reed and he gives you what we call a drive-by banning, hope you understand.

Have you ever heard of a program called milkshape bob its also for 3d modeling.

i used to use it. I could make an entire person in that program.

Then i moved onto Gamespace, it was nice.
Now i use Blender, and it kicks major amounts of @$$.

The thing i didn't like about Milkshape is that it was very limited. Compared to Blender, it's a tinker-toy.

I come to this site to show off my work and get advice how to make it better and stuff but i''m planning something in videogame art or something like designing movie posters but this site is also a way to meet new people and have fun.

I use 3ds max 7 because I think its one of the best of the best of the best in 3d world, I was starteing with basic tutorials it was cool, and then I wanted to learn animation and I culd not find any tutorials for animation, so I left 3ds max 7 alone on my hard drive :/ Right now I am using flash 8 its really fun- makeing some mini games and cartoons...

Sory for mistakes in text, I am come from Latvia so I dont have a good language knowledges.

To: Metafixer, i've seen the work that can be done in 3DMax, it looks great. The thing is, Blender does almost all the stuff 3DMax does. It's like this, really:
Blender = GIMP
3DMax = Photoshop
To: Lord_arcanus, You can get it at Blender.org i believe. If not, just look on Google.
