How's this? It's the new cover for yet another version of my GOW:Wii Edition box. Credits to Drakxxx for his awesome logo. And yes...I added ALL the soldiers...


Things I Already Know: no esrb, no dev logo, no wifi logo....those things will be added last

Save them as .png files.

It looks pretty good, but it looks as if you're putting the two guys at the top the centre of attention, which IMO should be Dom and Marcus, but all of the COG squad members. Try playing around with the renders, rearrange them then see how it goes.

Well, that depends. Are your current ideas for a new satire good? You should post your idea here (rough or completed). Maybe I could help.

i know you already answered his question EL but just to say you also need to make sure you have no background colour so that you see the white and grey box's behind it!

then save as png. and the where the white and grey box's are will appear transparent and take the colour of the website colour behind it!

I've thought about Pokemon Reed version or Pokemon Dungeon: Reed Rescue team. But I've never done it by some reasons; I found no good material, the joke would have been hated (If some one low-ranked made it atleast.) but you can take the (bad) idea if youre totally out of own. I think you could make a good one tho, but as I said, It's not a verry good work

It's just a satire idea I had but never will make, so anyone who thinks they can make it, take tha idea...

Haha well, I can't really teach you anything. The only way I believe that you can get the best out of your typography is inspiration. Look at great examples of typographic posters and advertisements. Go to SmashingMagazine.com. It's an excellent Photoshop and Illustrator help and inspiration site, and IMO the best one out there. They have different stories on beautiful typographic material, and even provide professional fonts for free. Worth a look.

Better, but if I was you, I would put the three below behind Dom and Marcus. If there isn't enough space, you could resize them.

Well, it looks really good so far, but firstly, I think you should change the sypnosis font. Trajan Pro does not fit this one. What I did for mine was to look for fonts that would resemble film noir and graphic novels. It would be closer to the feel for this film.

You should also remove the Octopus from the back, the one "standing" next to the Spirit. The blending looks terrible IMO. And also, you should fill in the gap between the tagline and the sypnosis.

As for the front, you could move the three taglines below the logo and place them on the tie. Try to rotate them until they are at a perfect angle which fits nicely. And on top of the logo, you could put the list of main actors in the film (Gabriel Macht, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson etc.)

Well, I can't really give any suggestions, as I have no idea what direction you are going with the box. You should do a rough idea on the front and back first, then show it to me. Good luck!

Im going for a grungy or industrial look I just dont want a whole crap load of grunge. I always do the back first and then i think of idea's on the front.
