The RPG elements are VERY minor. Just leveling up is pretty much the only RPG element. It's mostly an intense FPS with obnoxious humor.

Play Assassin's Creed II. It's truly better than the first one in all ways. Everything wrong in the first one was fixed, with plenty more awesome stuff.
