Conversation Between Vekta101 and roza

This has nothing to do with Mub (he's a whole other can of worms) but I guess I acted a bit overly dickish considering our conversation. I really only reacted with the condescending outburst because your "Umm No" pony link pissed me off. If you had simply responded initially with "I know you probably think I'm just following the 4chan fad where they like it ironically but I actually really like the show" I would have relented. Nothing I said had anything to do with trying to "push my beliefs onto others" but rather a cynical attitude towards everyone who claims to like it non-ironically.

The only reason most people know about the show is because of those '15 Minutes'. And if you read it, you called me a 'little kid' and said I need to 'grow up'. I've always been a person to enjoy stuff out of what people expect me to like. I prefer records to CD's, Jazz to dubstep, retro gaming to modern gaming, books to TV, reading and writing to sports. Just because something is aimed at a specific audience doesn't make it wrong to like it. Grown men still play Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon, does that make them wrong and childish? Open your eyes and realise the world doesn't work in some perfect idyllic way, where everything is as people intend, if I enjoy something you don't doesn't give you the right to come here and preach to me about what I should or shouldn't like. There are plenty of things I despise, you don't see me going to Family Guy fans out of the blue and saying 'har har this show sucks', so don't come to me and say this to me.

I only got into it recently because Rontis comprehended the show to me. I had no prior knowledge of the show before that point other than the occasional Pony threads on 4chan, which I always ignored. I post the picture, because I find them funny. I'm not a guy to follow trends, I may be led onto something because of one to check it out but just because I enjoy it doesn't mean it's only a fad to me. And regardless, you came here out of your own free will to complain. I don't care whether it annoys you. I don't see how it's 'damning evidence' in the slightest, I enjoy the show for legitimate reasons. Good animation, good voice acting, good music, well written stories and characters that don't have interchangeable personalities and god awful back stories like every other show on TV now.

Oh, and read what I wrote again. I didn't call you a 'baby' I said that in a few years you'll look back on your "OMG I LOVE PONIES" crap with shame in the same way as you look back on when you used to shit your pants as a baby.

You're the only person I'm "pushing my beliefs on", which isn't even an accurate statement. I don't berate anybody for their tastes and likes. The only people I berate are people who follow trends. For example: emos, scenes, hipsters, meme whores, etc. If you really enjoyed something genuinely then you would do it outside of its 15 minutes of popularity. Isn't it funny how you are "into" this thing coincidentally at the same time that it's a huge internet meme? Isn't it funny how you post 4chan MLP pictures in the Funny Thread? Pretty damning evidence that you're only into it because it's a fad. If in 2 years time you're still watching My Little Pony, still have the avatar and all that then I will sincerely and duly apologise. Until then your "love" for the show is just a stupid passing fad in my eyes.

And you sir push your beliefs onto people over the internet. I don't watch the show for the meme's sake. I watch it because I genuinely enjoy it. If that offends you then I feel sorry for you. And that last line is very ironic, you call me a baby, yet you come out of nowhere and start moaning about what I do. I don't go on your wall and moan about what you do do I. No. I don't. And I'm not one of those macho obsessed guys. I enjoy things for what I see in them, I don't follow trends, I don't conform to what is in. I do and enjoy what I like. If any of that seems wrong to you, then that's YOUR problem. Not mine.

Oh wow. Isn't that hilarious. A pony. It's supposed to be for little girls but these teenage boys normally preoccupied with farcical machoism are watching it and acting like it's awesome.

One day you'll grow up, little kid, and be ashamed that you ever did this. Remember when you used to shit your pants, eat dirt and slobber all day? You know, when you were a baby? This is like that.
