I'd purchased the Lightning / Amodar DLC as well, although I hadn't realized until seeing some screenshots that I was well below the needed level to even survive long enough to get a hit in. 6k HP I most certainly don't have yet. I've become somewhat addicted to visiting Serendipity in the meantime though, and the chocobo races. I too am somewhat saddened in the lack of playable characters, specifically Lightning, but the smaller party means a more focused storyline and more development and interaction between Serah and Noel. I feel their respective voice actors do a good job conveying their personalities, which makes the limited party easier to handle. I'll be happy to see you return to art in full force, no matter how long it might take you. I'd like to believe my absence in art has been due to gaming, but life in general has gotten in the way of that hobby as well. I'm not surprised. My Lightning fanboyism was probably a bit of a giveaway.
I'm also in Episode 4, looking for the Graviton Cores for Hope. Also trying to level enough to stand a chance against Lightning in the DLC. I'm close, but not quite there yet. I regret that they didn't make many of the former team playable, but I can deal with it, since the story they did craft is pretty decent in the crazy Square-Enix sort of way. I also wish I could get Serah's old clothes back, as she's showing off too much of her goods :/ Overall, you can really tell Square-Enix looked at fans were telling them and basically poured all they could into making the game what the fans want. As for art, I have all kinds of ideas and sketches that I want to execute. I just need to dedicate more of my time to doing it. Kinda been hard since I have been attached to playing games. I actually thought you were gone when I didn't see your old account active. Funny thing is, I suspected this account was you before I actually figured it out. Lightning on your avatar definitely clued me in.
I'm glad to see you're still around, and hopefully you'll return to making contributions, in VGBA or out. Yours is an artistic style I've always admired. I love XIII-2, really. It does a multitude of things better than XIII, and maybe some on equal or lesser ground, but overall it's one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I've had since XIII. I haven't had much time to progress through the story, unfortunately, but I recently reached Episode 4. How far in are you?
I just wanted to stop by and say hi. It's been awhile. I haven't been interested in finishing any art ever since my computer screwed up last year toward the end of the year. I'm trying to get myself back in the swing of things, but it's hard. How are you liking XIII-2? I think it's definitely cool in a lot of ways, but I do find myself getting lost. Well, better getting lost than going through a long tunnel of sorts. Anyway, I just wanted to let someone around here know that I'm still alive, lol.
