World tour. You can't go wrong creating your own songs, even if they don't include vocals. :)

I allways perfer Guitar Hero over Rock Band.
GH was first so yeah i just see RB as a rip off.

Guitar Hero World Tour only exists because of Rock Band's success.
Rock Band 2 is going to be a lot better than GHIV. It just has better structure and a MUCH better soundtrack. Plus all the RB1 songs I can import and TONS of DLC. Not to mention it's made by actual musicians.

Rock Band 2 gameplay is not much different from the first game and GH4 has gameplay that has been improve from the last three games and you can make your own songs.

If you are getting the bundle for one of the games, get GH:WT one as the drums and guitar are much better, and then buy the RB2 disc as well, if you have money to do that, or if you want to.
If only one of the two, then GH:WT IMO. Creating your own songs sells it to me right away, and I just cant stand the RB notes.
This is the situation I'm thinking of doing if I have some money.

Well, yeah. Because Guitar Hero was just a guitar. What is Rock Band going to improve on significantly? The best they could do is add a keyboard which would be useless because very few tracks would use it. The song maker is the only point that stands.

No matter how far superior RB is.. everyone outside US got screwed over, so for that I, and lots of others, are boycotting it.
Not to mention GH has far superior peripherals.

First off, one of DLC songs in it is called 'Hands Down' :p
But really, when i bought the first Rock Band, i had one of the greatest game experiences since Guitar Hero 2. A game i didn't care about beating because it was 'fun'. When Harmonix sold the rights, GH went to the shitter with product placement, random celebrity input, yadda yadda. Harmonix broke off and made Rock Band, WT saw the success, added instruments. Rock Band 2, has the best soundtrack, not opinion, fact. And if you live in America, buy Rock Band 2. If not, then i actually heard its coming to Europe in November. :D

But what matters is that Harmonix worked on Guitar Hero so you can't really call Rock Band a rip-off.

I for one don't really like a lot of the bands or songs on Rock Band 2. That doesn't mean I like every single song in WT, but the like-dislike ratio is higher. Plus all of it's little features that Rock Band doesn't have; thouch strip notes and solos, creating instruments, better periferials, and of course the song creator including GH Tunes, which will potentially have every single song ever. And more. Also for me, I love creating aspects of games. I loved Tony Hawk just for that, Sims, Sims City, I'm just a nut for that stuff. That and Guitar Hero, which I've played loyally since GH1 came out. Now that those worlds are joining into one game, it's a definite must buy. Again, that might be just me, but In my opinion, Guitar Hero is the way to go.

The RB2 peripherals have actually been better received than Guitar Hero World Tour's by the press. I think.

Well, I get ONE and only ONE of those two for Christmas. I was leanin towards RockBand2, but I did not know however that you can create your own songs in World Tour. That is a very neat feature, but ROCKBAND 2 has much better songs, IMO. Which one should I get?

Get GH:WT. It's got all the stuff and you can play as Miis on the Wii version. I think.

Not with WT. I'm pretty sure it will have all the downloads and stuff that the 360 and PS3 versions have. But, if you want a 360 game, it's basically which one you think has better songs.

I think that RB/RB2 is a 360/possible a PS3 game while WT is a Wii game.

I will because I didn't have a 360 when I bought GH3, so I bought it for Wii, and when I already have a GH Wii guitar, I dont want to buy another one for 360.
And I would not buy RB on Wii, exept if I can find it really cheap and if the controllers works with GH for wii.
And I've heard thet Activision is vorking hardest with the Wii version of WT, or atleast adding more stuff. (Miis etc.)
