Google Buying Game Companies

My dad just told me that Google wants to buy game companies, and they're looking at Valve first (sorry, don't have an article). So basically they're trying to get into these markets:


Browser
OS
Phones
And now games

Oh yeah, I heard they have a search engine or something. What do you guys think about this? It doesn't exactly seem negative, but it might be for the worst. Do you think they're getting into too many things at once? Discuss.

Ok... then what do you guys think about google getting into practically every market? Honestly, I think they're probably going to make an mp3 player/jukebox software combo to compete with iTunes/iPod. Of course, it could never beat them.

Alright, just talked to him again. In further detail he said that that was a rumor but it is not a rumor that google wants to get into gaming (primarily so that they can add ads into games)
